Comfort Suites Southport

The room was larger than a normal hotel room with comfy furniture and a bigger than normal tv. The breakfast was plentiful and had folks refilling things as they got low. Coffee never ran out. The people at the front desk were above and beyond friendly and helpful and always smiling, especially Lynette. We plan to return next year, or any time we happen to be in the area. And, I’m switching from Marriott to Comfort Suites for the hotel I look for when traveling.

Loved the cleanliness of the facility in general, the staff were all very friendly and helpful, great atmosphere overall. Would definitely stay here again.

Mattresses were a little worn/old but still in decent shape and good price value. Market prices for in-hotel snacks/drinks were a little high, but overall can't really say much that I didn't like.

The desk managers didn’t like having to get the bag breakfasts. There was no one at the desk for (2) mornings . Waited 5-10 minutes and left to find breakfast elsewhere. After 3 bad mornings, I gave up on the breakfast. I realize that with COVID restrictions, we have to adjust. If everyone else has the same experience, I would suggest stopping breakfast until The COVID protocols have been lifted and there is an attendant available.

Other than the breakfast, all was good. Great location to restaurants and businesses. Pavement was a little rough getting into the facility.

I like the location. It was close to stores & restaurants. It was about a 22 min drive to the children's museum. The breakfast was good. My son loved the pool. Overall stay was good. Would definitely stay here again

The only thing was the pillows were to flat and the bed was ok. Woke up with my back hurting a little. Overall stay was good.

The manager personally took care of a problem I was having with the room. Did so beyond the call of duty. Made my stay much more enjoyable. They were helpful when the family gathered late for a birthday party and cards.

This was a perfect location for us while visiting family and friends.

The carpet in our room had seen better days, ex.: walking into the bathroom from the bedroom the edges were frayed. The couch in our room was not comfortable to sit on at all.

the property was clean. the staff was welcoming and friendly. the room was huge & amazing!

the fact that someone smoked weed the night we stayed which caused the fire alarm to go off. just do it outside. ☺️

Beds were comfy, quiet at night, great breakfast

Sofa bed frame broke(we made it work) and had to ask for bedding for it...but also know some remodeling is happening soon. Pool temp could be warmer.

Location was perfect for me; near family. Breakfast was ok the only day I could get it. Not available on Monday. Somewhat limited for reserve and handout due to virus restrictions. Could have had something rewrapped any other time. Quite for busy area.

choice of either a sheet of sheet and comforter. Couldn't get happy medium.

The convenience of the gas stations and restaurants.

One employee was pretty snotty when asking questions and on Sunday, we didn't get anything that we had ordered for breakfast. We were given other things. We were also bummed that the pool was down due to a chemical embalance.
