New hotel with very well thought out modern conveniences including step in showers and easy access common area. The staff in particular was exceptional, going way beyond the call of duty to cater to the very large number of cyclists staying that weekend for a world class bicycle gravel race in a nearby town. There was plenty of parking and wide lots which are particularly great when a bike rack is hanging off the vehicle hitch in back.

The staff was absolutely phenomenal however we heard through the grapevine that one "bending" of the rules for breakfast start time was criticized by some type of IHG management. The event in question is a world class race drawing participants from every US state and 43 countries with not only us "regular" riders racing but the best of the world elite cyclists attending. The race times made getting some nutrition before leaving the hotel impossible with the normal breakfast open time. It is discouraging to see such conscientious employees receive negative feedback for such outstanding customer service. I hope IHG understands that some leeway in exceptional circumstances is essential for staff to excel in customer service.

Front desk staff very welcoming, friendly and provided all info needed. Plenty of breakfast options. Dining room kept clean, food was hot and tasted good. Not lacking in quantity of food. The bed was extremely comfortable, including the pillows. Out of the 4 hotels I stayed at this trip this Holiday Inn was the best.

The staff at this motel is amazing! They go out of their way to make your stay comfy. I have stayed here a few times, and will stay here a lot more in the future.

I was given a room that wasn’t cleaned very well at all. You could tell the cleaner was in a hurry. I called down to the front desk and they moved us next door right away, no problem at all! Cleaning rooms is tough work, but it’s a very important job, especially now with Covid.

I really enjoyed my stay at the Holiday Inn Express, Ottawa, KS. The front desk manager was really helpful and very nice. I would stay here every time I visit Ottawa.

I wasn't anything that I didn't like, but I did find a used coffee pod in the coffee pot and there was food and dust underneath the refrigerator.

Clean, friendly staff, new and very nice equipment throughout the hotel and my kids enjoyed the pool. Quality breakfast area. The elevator was super quiet. Hot chocolate and coffee available 24/7.

Almost nothing

Breakfast was good. Linens and towels fresh.

Although I heard nothing, wife complained of hearing fire or smoke alarms sounding all night.

Choc Chip Cookies were a real treat, family enjoyed them.

Room only getting serviced occasionally and pillows not supportive

Everything about our stay was great - complimentary water, lemonade and cookies was a real bonus - would book a stay again.

The rooms were exceptional! Everything was clean and super comfortable. We would most definitely stay again.

We came down for breakfast at 8:30 and all the hot food, except 3 ready made sandwiches, was gone. The rest of the breakfast items were good.

Clean, new, and good location.

None of the front desk staff wore masks, nor did they sit behind the plexiglass barrier. They seemed completely oblivious to the pandemic and any concerns the guests might have about COVID transmission.
