Hawthorn Suites by Wyndham Louisville East

The guy at the front desk when we checked in was awesome! He was very friendly and helpful. The rooms were nice and clean. We had problems with one of the toilettes, they sent maintenance up right away to fix it. The breakfast was nice. Everyday it was a little different.

I called in advance to see if the hot tub was working. (We had issues at the last 2 hotels about the hottub not working.) They said yes. When we got there I asked again at the front desk. The guy said yes it does, but if it wasn't hot enough to get him. He would heat it back up. Something was wrong with it that they couldn't keep the heat up on it. He was very happy to help us when we asked him to heat it up more. On the third night, we went to the desk again to have it turned up, and the lady said she couldn't do it. It wasn't even as warn as bath water!

Wonderful staff. Clean, spacious room with lovely beds. HOT water in shower. Excellent breakfast buffet with a ton of options that were cooked perfectly. Quiet location near major attractions. Pet friendly!

Hot tub was not up to temp, kinda Luke warm bath water, but the jets worked well. Pool area was rather rowdy with kids running, cannonballing, and screaming loud enough to hear outside on patio. I get being kids, but parental supervision was poor. Maybe addressing pool rules/behavior with guests could help.

The deals I've been getting through Booking are going to spoil me. This is the second property in a row that FAR exceeded my expectations for the price I paid. The entire property from check-in to check-out was amazing. Clean, bright, well maintained, great location, friendly staff, excellent breakfast and the room was far more than I needed but greatly appreciated! I will absolutely book this property again if given the opportunity!

Zero complaints!

The room was very clean when we arrived, as well as the lobby. The breakfast buffet was very good, well supplied, good choices, and clean. Pool was also fun. Good location for our trip, and many restaurants nearby.

No maid service (due to shortage of staff) for our 3 nights stay. Daily, had to place used towels & trash outside our door. Got fresh towels & refill of necessary supplies at the front desk.

I loved the breakfast buffet it was the best buffet we have had in years at hotels. The suite we had with a kitchenette was wonderful, it could accommodate 6 people. I was very impressed! The staff was wonderful too. The hot tub was being worked on, so that was a bummer. The front doors were also being worked on. However, I found myself looking at over vacation destinations to see if Hawthorne Suites was available in other areas we like to travel. Excellent job!

Proximity to restaurants, shopping, and hospitals.

The entry doors were broken, and appeared to have been so for a while, making it necessary to slide the doors open and then close. There were two sets of doors and it was difficult to open them. As we have stayed at this hotel a number of times I did notice a lot more knicks and bumps on the furniture and walls this time. A bit of room refurbishment may be in order.

The location was nice , the staff there was really great, helpful and friendly .. the environment was great too… breakfast is included which was a plus for us …

There was some noise coming from the AC at night , and sound insulation was not that perfect .. but it doesn’t really effect us much so, it’s all good One thing though, the room door was a little hard to open ..

Loved the room. The setup was great.

Didn't like the complimentary breakfast. The eggs & sausage were nasty. They only have one elevator. We had to wait a long time to get on with the luggage rack. Between the guest and cleaning crew, it was like Graham Central Station when we were trying to leave. They need an elevator just for the cleaning employees.

The breakfast was overall very good. The deluxe room we had which hosted our 4 children and my wife and I was very comfortable and it was so great that there was a separation between the living room space and room space. The pool area was also very nice.

There was not much we didn't like. I think the staff could have been somewhat more friendly.
