Bourbon Orleans Hotel

Staff was friendly and helpful and the location was fantastic. Pool area was beautiful. We didn’t take advantage of the breakfast but it is an option. Rooms were spacious and we had a great view. We truly enjoyed our stay.

The rooms could’ve been a bit cleaner as far as the floors and such however it is an older building of course being in the French Quarter and can be harder to clean plus the color scheme is dark so you can see every spec, so overall it didn’t bother me. Just mentioning it for others who may be more particular. The bathrooms were cleaned well and fresh towels each day so that was excellent.

The hotel was very nice. The location was great. The Bourbon "O" Bar had wonderful music and drinks. Most of the staff was very friendly and helpful.

The room could have used a good cleaning. The air vent over the desk was very dirty and dripped water on our computer. The computer chair was broken. The woman at the snack/coffee bar was very unpleasant. When the man in front of us asked if he could charge it to the room, the woman in a very mean voice said "how would I know what your room number is, and if you tell me how do I know it is really yours, and NO you cannot do that".

This place exceeded our expectations. We loved the location, the "old world" charm, & the friendly staff. My husband didn't want to stay in the heart of the quarter because he thought it would be noisy but our room (located overlooking the pool) was super quiet. It was hotter than hell in the city during our stay but the AC worked beautifully. The lobby offered ice cold water as well as bottles in the room.

It was so reasonably priced we thought "something" must be off. Comments in booking.com reviews: 1. "dust in the corners of the room": We didn't see any dust and to the contrary the room was spotless. 2. "Carpet was worn and frayed"...no carpet in our room...only very nice faux wood floors. And the carpet in the hallway was beautiful. 3. "No hair dryer"...there was a hair dryer in our room.

The location was brilliant. Set between Royal and Bourbon streets, it was walking distance to good restaurants, jazz bars, shopping and Jackson Square. Our room, at least, was really quiet and super comfortable. The hotel has a great jazz bar, ATMs, business area, pool and a restaurant (which we didn't use but it looked good). The hotel was clean, secure and well staffed with friendly, professional people who were knowledgable re local activities. Our family requested rooms close to each other which was achieved to our satisfaction. I would certainly stay at the Bourbon Orleans again.

I would have liked daily service of the room - it happened only every second day in our case.

The location is good right outside of the chaos that New Orleans is. The hotel itself appears safe. They basically have a staff member standing watch at the front door at all times. Unfortunately, in the few years between my trips there I’ve seen a big change in the area. Not what id call safe. But this hotel seems to have it under control. Just go back before dark. The rooms are updated and the hotel it self is historical and interesting. The bar connected is a huge plus vs wandering around at night. The restaurant was closed. I heard they were filming something there.

The valet parking worked out fine for us but I think it could be a hassle if you arrive at the wrong time.

It was right in the middle of the French Quarter, so that was nice. The courtyard was massive and gorgeous, we spent time chillin' back there with a couple beers, and were almost completely alone. The pool looked very refreshing and we'd have used it if we weren't so busy. The room looked recently updated and was clean. We really didn't stay in the room for long, but bed was comfy. The staff were friendly.

The open shower is nice but because the shower head is fixed we couldn't really get under it, especially because of the soap/caddy that was affixed near the shower head. The lady at the desk promised us a courtyard view but it was a view of a wall :-(. Also it would be nice if complimentary fresh brewed coffee was offered in the lobby next to the water. The hotel instant coffee is so-so.

the location is perfect, the beds are super comfortable and most of the service staff are super helpful. The housekeeping staff went above and beyond to be accommodating to our needs.

It is right off Bourbon Street so we did hear some chaos from drunks in the middle of the night… to be honest it wasn’t unexpected though so we used ear plugs or headphones. Most front desk employees were amazing however, one was very rude and seemed tike we were a bother upon check-in and ignored us to finish a personal conversation. Mostly, everyone was very friendly though.

The location was perfect. Within walking distance to most things you would likely want too see when visiting New Orleans. The hotel itself is beautiful. Very clean. The pool area is lovely as well. The bar and bar staff are great and the daily entertainment at 4pm is a nice touch. The hotel is located just off of Bourben Street, where I don't recommend staying due to the bar scene and crowds.

Two things come to mind when speaking of things we didn't like. The first was the on site restaurant only being available for breakfast. It would have been nice to get lunch, even if it were lite fare, especially after spending time poolside. The second thing was the location of our room. We had room 360 which is directly across from the service elevator which is VERY noisy and every morning we were woke very early with the constant moving of dishes and housekeeping carts and whatever else goes on and off the elevator. Room 360 should only be assigned if there are no other rooms. My husband and I are up at 4:30am all week for our jobs and looked forward to sleeping in while on vacation which was impossible with the room we were assigned.

Front desk staff was friendly and helpful. Great area to walk around just about anywhere. It’s about a mile to each district in the area and only takes about 15-20 mins to walk to. Lots to see! Ubers and Lyfts are readily available to take you where you want to go. Walking distance to the trolleys to bring you around the city. Lots of tours to choose from as well!

It was hard to find a restaurant to just go sit in and have a drink and some food. Lots of little bars that were packed. Planning ahead and make sure you have a backup plan.

What I like about this hotel has a perfect spot and location to walk around bourbon street, friendly staff except the valet employees. The room is very spacious and clean but the most out of all others, I looovvvveee the shower. LOL

What I don't like about the hotel valet employees are that their's service is HORRIBLE!!!!! I rate them -1star They haven't bring my truck around on time and being unprofessional. One of the employee was touching/moving my property inside my truck without my permission. The employees need to stay on top being punctual and being very professional and also once to bring the customers's vehicle do not touch their's property!!!!
