The location was fantastic, as it’s just a block or two away from my favorite bars, all of the staff were very welcoming, I admired the character of the hotel, and I was very much attracted to Ken. The bed and pillows were comfortable.

I was disappointed to learn my room didn’t have its own air conditioning system, but only a box fan when 100+ degrees outside. I also couldn’t get the shower to work with a decent flow of water, but rather a trickle. Each channel on the television said “program unavailable”. For one night, this was tolerable but perhaps a little overpriced. I also could clearly hear everything going on in the room below.

Location was great....walk to anything in just a few minutes. Room was gorgeous with private balcony overlooking bourbon street. Stayed in haunted room 21. Bed huge and comfortable. Beautiful fireplace mantle...14 ft ceilings..8 ft doors and windows..Quiet for the most part and we turned the fan on for white noise and never heard the bar next door after that.

The bathroom really is tiny. REALLY TINY LOL. but it didn't matter really. It's an old building and was a much later addition to the original room. It was hilarious and quirky. Does need a couple things like touch up paint and small repairs but nothing crazy.

Location was excellent. I went out for breakfast (did not eat onsite). The staff were very friendly and helpful, and the bed was quite comfortable. The public areas (bar, lounge, courtyard) were very attractive. Loved the high ceiling, brick walls, and chandelier in the room, and the fact that I was in the front of the building, with a half-way decent view (in comparison with some rooms I've stayed at in the French Quarter, which didn't even have a window). Finally, the room was nice and quiet.

The room itself (#30) needs some updating/attention. Several bulbs in the chandelier were out. The drapes, once grand, were worn. There wasn't anywhere to put clothes. (There was a small rack with no coat hangers. There was no dresser, and the 2 nightstands weren't big enough for stowing clothes. I hung them from doors and/or laid them on top of the small refrigerator.) The refrigerator didn't feel very cold, and the TV had only one channel (a nature channel). Liked the large bathtub, but couldn't get the shower to work properly.

The location and staff was great. One of the cleaners, sweet Ms. Sara, told us about a little ghost girl that stays at the hotel. The building was really neat and definitely had a historical touch to it. It is in a wonderful location that makes walking anywhere you need to go very convenient.

At no fault to the staff, the toilet is difficult to use if you are 5’10 or taller or a larger person. Your knees barely fit when you sit down. It’s an old historical building so this is not a complaint but something that could make staying here difficult for larger people.

the staff was amazing! everyone was really helpful and friendly. They really made the stay so much more comfortable! we stayed in room five which was right off the patio which was excellent and had an old New Orleans feel to it, which is what we were looking for. The area felt safe and we even got explore the entire building which was awesome.

getting to our room we didn’t have any towels, toilet and some other small things. The room itself really needs some work as far as cleaning and updating. But it wasn’t horrible and I would stay here again.

Bed was fantastic. Fan in the room for white noise was a bonus. I am a light sleeper and often struggle in any hotel to sleep well. No problem here, even with bar across the street.

Could use a bit more horizontal space for toiletries in the bathroom. The building is old, which I appreciate. Therefore plumbing is old, so tub drains a little slow in the shower.

The building was fascination with it’s history and quaint, old fashioned rooms. The staff was over the top nice at all times. The room was clean and the bed was super comfortable. The parking was affordable.

The bathroom, while old fashioned, needs more counter space, maybe add shelves.

Great location , old NOLA charm , history , great staff . Piano bar down stairs in weekend . Will be the place we stay again on our next visit !

Bathroom was really small but it was fine it’s a very old historic property and I’d gladly give up space for the experience .

Our room was gorgeous and the hotel completely fit our vibe.

The AC wasn’t cool enough for us and there wasn’t a personal AC for our room. Luckily temps were pretty mild while we were there so we could keep the windows open and stay pretty comfortable. There was also a box fan in our room which was nice.

This was the second time we stayed at Lafitte. We like the old time charm yet with comfy beds and a modern bathroom. Excellent location; in the French Quarter, but away from most of the hustle on Bourbon Street. Enjoyed the addition of a piano player at night and like being able to sit outside on the balcony and in the backyard. Staff was friendly and super helpful when it came to selecting restaurants and bars.
