Place D'Armes Hotel

I asked to switch rooms to be closer to the courtyard and when I came back from my breakfast/walk thru the French Quarter, the staffed had everything moved including the items in the refrigerator! I absolutely loved the courtyard balcony they gave me! Also, the front desk called and got me a taxi , when Uber/Lyft were unavailable for such an early flight upon leaving!

A few of the usb connections in room were broken and not fixed. Thankful for the one on the radio which I was able to use, and will remember to bring my charging block next time I stay! That is the ONLY thing I wish of could have been better on my stay, but I would most definitely stay there again on my next visit to NOLA!!

Awesome location. Excellent staff! Comfortable room, would have preferred a room with a window. As I had requested one, only downfall ..but our room was lovely. I will say thin walls, we could hear the couple next door arguing quite loudly, lol. Wish the little bar in the magnolia courtyard was still in use, and maybe just a coffee station in the little sitting area where they used to have a continental breakfast. All in all an excellent stay, excellent location, and of course...EXCELLENT staff all around. Will most definately be back!

OMG YOU GUYS. This place is amazing. Where do I even start?! I'll start with the location, right in the middle of everything but felt private and tucked away. Being just one block from Cafe du Monde, being able to stop in at the hotel quickly during the day, and being at 10 min walk from Frenchman Street, were the key benefits to this location. Next, the facilities were so freakin' beautiful. I'll think of this courtyard in my dreams. So quaint and green and French-feeling. We had wine & cheese out there one evening and it was so peaceful. Loved how you needed a card to enter the hotel after 10 PM! Vending machines & ice available, friendly & helpful desk staff. The porter helped us with our bags/showed us to our room and was so nice. We booked an interior room (317) which was the cheapest option but did not feel cheap. I thought I wouldn't like not having a window but the ceilings were so high, and room so spacious, that I did not feel cramped in. The room itself was SO NICE & CLEAN. We loved all the antique features & the powder room. If we return to NOLA, we will stay here hands down. Just book it, trust me.

The staff was friendly and helpful. The bathroom was well designed. The beds were quite comfortable. The room was very clean. The wifi was reliable and reasonably fast. The hotel is located in an old stylish building. Its location is perfect.

The room was windowless. Had we have made the reservation through the hotel website we would have known it ahead of time. But the lack of window was not indicated on the Booking.com website. So, it was a disappointment when we arrived. Nevertheless the room eventually turned out quite comfortable. The only significant problem was the noise coming from the corridor late at night and early in the morning. The hotel should add some sound-proof insulation to the door (there was none).

We paid for through Booking.com for Two nights, then the hotel charged us for one day. Stating Booking.com only charged us for one day.

Every single time I go to New Orleans I stay here because it's just one block from Jackson Square where all the artists set up and Cafe Du Monde is. It's also right by shopping and eating. Super safe location and a great staff that's there for you 100% of the time - day or night. It's also two blocks from the famous Bourbon St. but so quiet at night you wouldn't even know. Waking up in the morning and walking to Jackson Square to watch the city come alive is the best part. Not to mention you're one block from famous beignets at the Cafe or the wonderful brunch at Muriels (right next door).

There's nothing wrong with this place. It's perfection. LOVE IT!

I like that it was a boutique hotel in which the room was very quaint but had modern amenities built into the room. The bathroom door needed some W40 but otherwise the room was great. The hotel is being repaired in certain areas but it did not interfere with our stay at all and the staff was vey friendly including the car valet people. As close as we were to Bourbon street, I appreciated that our car was not in the street (since it was parked in a multi-level indoor garage). I will not be surprised if we stay there again and would like to see what the place looks like after all the renovations are complete.

The bathroom door needed some W40. Also, if you need to sleep somewhere quiet and away from Bourbon street I would not choose this spot. While the room is very quaint it was quite small so it may not have suites suitable for a large family group but it was fine for me and my wife since it was just us. Also the one modern amenity the room did not have was a microwave though it did have a fridge and a coffee maker.

The location is the best. The front desk staff and concierge were very helpful and pleasant.

Housekeeping was non-existent. Housekeeper was coming into our room second day. We advised all we needed was fresh towels at that time. She never came into our room again. We called for extra towels a day later and they were brought by the girl at the front desk. Housekeeping never brought anymore towels, emptied trash, vacuumed, made beds.....nothing. I have stayed here before and did not encounter this problem. So disappointed about that.

The staff was exceptional from the moment we walked in until the time we left, everyone was courteous and very helpful. The room was very spacious with a separate sitting area from the bedroom. The bed was very comfortable. We loved the balcony facing the courtyard. We were able to sit with our coffee and enjoy some quiet time. The location was perfect, we walked everywhere. We will definitely stay at this hotel again and highly recommend to everyone.

Collection of lovely old traditional brick buildings surrounding charming shaded garden courtyard with pool. Tall bellman was especially pleasant & informative. Fabulous location in the center of the French quarter. We would stay there again.

Housekeeping issues. We took 2 rooms, one was ready when we arrived. The other wasn’t ready until after 5pm. They said they were shorthanded. Our room was not made up the second day; the maid came after 5pm with apologies and asked if we needed anything.
