Pictures of the property are deceptive. They show the property as a whole but are not specific to the space you are renting. Only after you book do you receive photos of the actual room you get. Many of the listing pictures show areas inaccessible to me based on my room selection.

I absolutely loved the decor and the history. The location is fantastic, half a block off of Bourbon Street, but quiet once you are in. I absolutely loved the fountain in the courtyard and was thrilled to see bananas actually growing! We were only supposed to stay one night, but decided to stayed two after we checked out. So, we had two different rooms #7 with the balcony and #2 with the courtyard. Yes, this place has a few quirks, but it is over 200 years old, so if that bothers you, go stay in a chain hotel. I’ll definitely stay here again!

While I appreciate the authenticity, the staircase could use a bit of work.

This property is SO charming. Every room is different and the high ceilings and large bathroom was so wonderful for our stay. Once you walk outside, you are steps from bourbon, check out clover grill for a not-so-sober bite to eat or head down to royal and get your coffee from CC’s. This property has it all and I can’t wait to stay here again!

Oddities that didn’t break my score but things to be aware of: -Our room became very humid, make sure to use the dehumidifier. -A/C didn’t function very well, I think it needs to be cleaned and filter changed. -Only one light worked in the bathroom, no fan either so it did get very humid in the bathroom after showering. -Shower was a bit interesting to get out of. -Since our room was on the 1st floor- you could hear the main door slam…..at all hours of the night. -Garbage picks up at 4-5am every other day, so be aware, they’re also super noisy.

The room was charming! Beds were cozy. The room was very clean. We stayed in room 2, and the courtyard was right outside the room- beautiful area to hang out in. The hotel was in walking distance to all the restaurants and shops.

We had to call the staff to freshen up the linens and tidy the place up. With the price we paid for it I figured that would be an automatic daily service.

Historic New Orleans feel. Good location for exploring the French quarter. Quiet Street. Very effective air conditioning. Good size room.

Good shower, but getting in and out can be a challenge.

Location was close to Bourbon Street which was great for the adults but also was close to attractions nearby for the kids!

Lack of parking space was probably the only downside to the location.

Property was very nicely decorated, location was within walking distance to everything on Bourbon St and many shops in the French. 4th floor walk up but not much of a view. Oh and tons of stairs, it’s an older building and stair railing is low and seemed to be missing a few supports. Stairs had rubber covering but were uneven.

Rooms were much smaller than appeared in photos. No TVs in rooms, Tv in living room only had Roku which wouldn’t hook up to Wifi it self didn’t work. Street parking, had 2 hour limit for free spot which were almost always taken, 2 hour limit on paid spots which were 3 dollars an hour also until 7pm. Then free overnight until 7 am. Moving or paying every 2 hours was a pain! Garage was not cheap and had to walk blocks to get in it if needed

the family room was perfect for us. There was everything we needed! Us and the kids absolutely enjoyed everything about the mansion. We appreciated being able to experience the history of the home.

The French Quarter Mansion was beautiful and unique. The lobby area was filled with plants and mirrors, perfect for pictures!! Oh and let’s not forget that it was super close to bourbon!!

Great location, great room, in the heart of the French Quarter.

This is a do it yourself hotel. It consists of 8 rooms located in the heart of the French Quarter. You are given a code for the front door and a code for your room door. There is no staff on site. No on-site parking.
