Nice location with a nice view, even though the river is a bit distant. Facilities were nice and clean, room quite large and comfortable. Grounds well managed and spotless.

Although this is a nice area, walking around for exercise in the immediate vicinity is problematic as it consists of major roads through forests that have limited shoulder widths. Some nice parks within 10 minutes driving distance solved my problem, but this of course assumes you have a car handy.

The location and the land around hotel was very pretty. The room was done up quaint. It would be more bang for your buck to stay more than one night. it is set up more as a stay for a week and enjoy the area. pool was still open (beginning of Oct) and heated. some guest took advantage of it the night we were there. Staff went out of their way to help turn the room into handicap accessible which is what we’re were expecting. we made do but not without issues. We did receive bottles of waters and bags of snacks upon arrival. A big deal since all restaurants nearby were closed by 8pm.

Expecting handicap accessible room but not available… too late to locate another place. HOWEVER it needs to be said they went to store and pick up hand bars for tub and installed for us and put down ramp to access room. Kudos for those items. Room was big enough but bathroom not at all. It was very small. hardly room to close door while in the room. had to step to side of toilet to close door.

We liked the balcony attached to the room overlooking the water (although I think it would have been nice to have a small matching table for the balcony to be able to sit out and enjoy coffee). The value for the location and property was very good for the cost. Everything was so clean and well kept (rooms, landscaping, office, breakfast room, etc). The man and women we dealt with at the front desk were very helpful and pleasant!

Room service never came into our room our first day even after directly letting them know when we'd be gone and we noticed plumbing made way too much noise that it became very bothersome while in the room. Bed's we're also bit too hard.

I chose this place for going to the Cabbage Island Clambake. It's about 10 miles towards the harbor and next to the Wiscasset's Red's Eat. The next day we headed for Acadia National Park. The location is perfect for our destinations. And I found the Glidden Point Oyster is about 4 miles away. I ordered the oyster from this farm before but didn't have time to visit them while it is open. The breakfast in the hotel was great! I particularly liked their pumpkin bread and coffee cake.

My husband is handicapped and we didn't realize there wasn't an elevator until I read a review. I wish I'd known as I would have requested a first floor room. By the time I did they could not accommodate the need, and we could not get a reservation elsewhere, so we struggled with the stair climbing, but managed. The mattresses were hard. Those were my only complaints! We may well stay there again, as the rest was good!

Breakfast was simple and warm. Muffins were also warm and delicious! Facilities were exceptionally clean. Manager took extra time to make sure our rooms were satisfactory since there was a mix up in reservations.

Booking.com messed up the reservations, putting us in different rooms each night, but the manager made every effort to reconcile this. Lots of traffic noise, but only during the day.

Beds were comfortable and clean. B'fast included was typically a continental fare as expected though if you care for something more substantial, Moody' s diner the best bet,, although some 15mi north on Rte 1. Staff was pleasant and view of bay and grounds were pleasant sitting on the veranda..

Not crazy about bathroom sinks in the common area as oppose to inside the bathroom and no reflection on the hotel, traffic on Rte 1 is tricky, high volume in peak season. Could use some USB ports in the room, little dated.

When new owners took over in July/2022 the management team was was inexperienced and lacking hospitality skills. This has now been rectified with a new management team that is very experienced and has a nice manner in making their guests feel welcome and appreciated. We enjoyed our stay and are happy to see that the Cod Cove Inn is once again an enjoyable place to spend an evening to two. Congratulations.

The breakfast blueberry muffins were delicious and so was the coffee. The first day we could eat outside but the second day it rained so we ate inside at comfortable tables. The location was great for the botanical gardens in Boothbay and for sailing on the Eastwind Schooner in Boothbay Harbor.

This property has a very classic charm to it and it’s very clean which is a HUGE plus! our room had a deck and I think every room did. Plenty of towels, pillows and blankets. We were able to get a crib provided for when we arrived.

The crib provided was very rickety like it was just put in the room and no safety was checked. Staff was not very sociable and did not ask about the stay at checkout. The pillows and beds my husband and I both found uncomfortable.
