Embassy Suites by Hilton Portland Maine

We booked our room here immediately after our flight home was cancelled after multiple delays. The airline insisted we take our bags and we waited 3 hours for them! Needless to say, we were not in a great mood on arrival at the hotel. The friendly hotel staff, cleanliness, welcome "reception" with a complimentary drink and snack, nice restaurant on the premises and quiet, comfortable room changed all that! Far exceeded our expectations.

Breakfast was generous and tasty. Loved the free drink at the end of the day as well. Staff checking us in were very nice too. Room interior was clean and nicely decorated.

Our room had a couple minor issues. The bathroom sink barely drained. The shower had missing caulking and quite a bit of water leaked onto the floor every time it was used. The mini fridge was missing a foot and wobbled, to the point the door dragged on the carpet when you opened it. Also the door hinged open on the wrong side, facing the wall even though all fridge doors can be switched for either side. This made loading and unloading food cumbersome.

Always enjoy the suites, beautiful, large and comfortable double suites. Luxurious bath towels, most comfortable bedding, and t.v.'s in both rooms. Hot delicious breakfast hits the spot.

There really isn't much "Not to Like", love that it's not downtown, smack in the middle of everything. Not being familiar with the area, we ended up really appreciated the fact it was less than 13 minutes from downtown, and its an easy drive. Also, liked the surrounding area, as well..versus 'downtown'.

We have been travelling for years with our kids and have been to most of the states. This was a quick overnight, after a long day of travelling and we were very impressed. The hotel has been completely renovated, but the free breakfast is the best “buffet” breakfast I have seen at a hotel. There is also an omelette bar with fresh made to order omelettes. The kitchen/domestic and front desk staff were friendly and polite and completely on the ball. By far 5 star. We are from Canada but we will definitely use this location again in the future.

I like the internet and the huge selection for breakfast. The staff was very polite and were always smiling. I'm a happy person so I really liked that.

The beds were to soft and I could feel springs or something that poked me in the sides. The pillows are to soft. The bathrooms a small very small for larger people like us. I also noticed the handicap bar in the shower really hurts when you hit your elbow on it. It needs to be relocated.

The breakfast had THE BEST spread I’ve ever seen, so many choices, home fries, yogurt section with toppings, gluten free options as well!. (I have severe limitations with food so this was so nice to see!). Room was huge and spacious, staff were super super kind and they even had a couple free drinks offer when we arrived… such a good price for what we received! Will definitely be returning to stay! Close to shops too, very convenient :)

The only thing I did not like was the restaurant attached to the hotel was closed the entire stay do to covid restrictions but was about to serve breakfast? It wasn't a hugh problem because there are plenty of restaurants around the area to get fun from. It just would have been great to go get food/drinks at the hotel but it STILL is an awesome hotel!

EVERYTHING! One of the cleanest, safest hotels I have stayed at. The staff is friendly and helpful. All the amenities you would want at a hotel. And even tho the hotel is on the airport grounds, I did not hear 1 airplane the entire 6 days I stayed!! Awesome hotel . Keep up the great job!

The staff was very friendly, breakfast was good, enjoyed complimentary drinks and snacks, gym was nice, and the facilities were clean. We were extremely pleased with Peter (bartender), David (dining area), Melissa/ Michelle (housekeeping), and the lady with blonde hair from the front desk (THANK YOU).

Cable and internet connection weren't working well and the pool had a lot of hair in it. The thermostat didn't work well in our room, couldn't get comfortable or sleep well.

The stay in a whole was excellent. The beds were comfortable and we loved that it was a actual suite. My family had thought at first that we had the wrong room. Only because we had seen the family room part of the suite and then they seen the other room where the beds were. They loved it. Our window in the bedroom part of the suite had a very big TAPED up crack in the bedroom part of the suite. We had a 2yr old with us and didnt dare to have him go anywhere near the window. Other than that we had a very pleasant stay there. I would stay again and recommend to have others to stay at your hotel. I would've posted some pictures for ya'll but I didn't have time. We had a 2 yr old with us and so we had to keep our eyes on him.

Like I had said there was a very big taped up crack in the window. Our room no# was 515 on the 5th floor. And no fan in the bathroom with the shower. It had steamed up a lot.

The staff is friendly. We enjoyed the pool. I like that I could still get a Peloton workout on the bike in the gym. loved happy hour and the omelette station. Sydney great and her replacement Joe was friendly, too. Enjoyed the lobby. Rooms are spacious and perfect for our family of four. free parking.

Wished we could stream movies and shows with our favorite apps like Netflix and Disney+. Wished there was a table with chairs in our living area.
