I booked this hotel looking to save a few bucks relative to the hotels I have stayed at in Boston in the past, like the Fairmont, the Liberty and the Intercontinental. The Copley square hotel was less than half the cost of these. I came to Boston to visit my daughter and see the city. I didn't care if the hotel had a gym or restaurant because I knew i'd get plenty of exercise walking everywhere and I didn't plan on eating there. I didn't go into the restaurant though I looked at the menu and it looked really good. In all honesty the caliber of the restaurant seems a bit better than the caliber of the hotel. I was looking for something less expensive this trip so I'd have more money to put towards meals and experiences outside the hotel, i.e. museums, shows, I rented a car for a day so we could day trip, etc. If your'e here to see Boston on a vacation or look at schools, this hotel is ideally located. The location is fantastic for a visit to Boston actually. The lobby is almost nonexistent, it is not a luxurious hotel, it is not brimming with amenities. The " fitness center" has one treadmill. But Boston was my fitness center. I logged about 10 miles a day walking. There is a washer / dryer you can use which can be handy and there is a small communal kitchen, which I would have only used for the microwave, but it is there if you need it. The rooms themselves aren't the biggest but they aren't cramped, at least the double double I stayed in wasn't. I wasn't planing on ballroom dancing in the room so It was perfectly fine. The beds and pillows were very comfortable and the beds had nice fluffy comforters. The room and bathroom were clean and cute. The shampoo/ shower gel/ lotion provided had a beautiful lavender smell that someone actually complimented me on when I was out and about. The bathroom was up to date, not old or dirty. I plan on staying here again.

For myself, no complaints. Understand that the hotel restaurant is only open at night. There are next to no amenities. That includes no coffee maker in your room. Go out and enjoy the city of Boston. Go to a local place for your coffee. It will be a five minute walk.

Hotel was in a great location, right next to most of downtown Boston attractions. Room was much bigger than expected, easily accommodated all of us as well as our extra guest. Staff was friendly and very helpful.

Beds were only Full size so fitting 2 on each was tough. They were also spring mattresses so not the most comfortable. Floor layout was a little bit confusing, with quite a lot of dead ends if you weren't careful.

The hotel's location is truly fantastic, right in the heart of everything you'd want to explore in the city. Getting around was incredibly convenient, with the subway station just around the corner. The room was exceptionally cozy and comfortable, providing a perfect retreat after a day of sightseeing. The cleanliness of the room was also impressive, adding to the overall pleasant experience. What truly stood out, though, was the staff's friendliness and helpfulness. They were always ready to assist with any questions or requests, making me feel welcome and well cared for throughout my stay. I highly recommend it to anyone visiting the area since it offers a prime location, comfortable accommodations, cleanliness, and a staff that goes above and beyond to ensure a pleasant stay. It exceeded my expectations in many ways.

Super comfortable bed and really friendly staff. Added extras like the guest kitchen and free gym helped justify the cost. The location is excellent and the staff recommended many good restaurants in the neighbourhood. The room had everything we needed, including an iron and ironing board, hairdryer and desk, and the bed was supremely made and very large and comfortable. Toiletries provided were good quality and generous.

For the price we paid, I would have expected all TV functionalities to work (we could get cable but no netflix or youtube, due to a network connectivity issue). The shower could also be modernised with an adjustable head. I would also have expected tea/coffee to be available in the room as well as in the guest kitchen.

Great staff...I was early before room was ready, so they took my bag until it was ready...fortunately, a room was ready about 90 minutes b4 normal check-in...was on the first floor, but was still very quiet...small, but enough for 1 person who was only in it to sleep & shower...easy access to the free coffee machine in the kitchen...2 free bottles of water & a nice small fridge/freezer combo...shower was great!

Came in after having dinner w/a cousin & wanted a night cap; was told the bar just had last call on a Friday night @ 11; it wasn't crowded, but still...I understand it's mostly a restaurant. So, went to a close-by hotel & had a few drinks...wish it were @ the hotel I was staying....

- Excellent location, a few minutes away from the train station and Copley Square metro. Also at easy walking distance from the town centre. Supermarket just at the corner of the street. - Very friendly staff, especially the night auditor lady with the cowboy hat who gave lots of excellent advice for the July 4th celebrations. Props to her! - The room was not very big but very well appointed and nicely decorated. Perfect for a single traveler like me who wanted a quiet place to rest after spending the day outside. - Extremely affordable for Boston.

No breakfast, but the room is equipped with a fridge so you can do it yourself easily. Maybe a bit of noise when someone passes in front of the door but nothing really bothering.

The staff was friendly and very helpful. I accidentally left clothing in one room and the staff courteously moved it into my new room. Every single person was helpful and pleasant. Really lovely employees. The historic nature of the hotel was a plus.

No real comfortable public area to lounge. The couches in the lobby were frequently occupied by guests leaving. The 'kitchen area' just provided coffee and was of poor quality. The tables were sterile and not inviting in there. I wish the restaurant on the premises offered breakfast.

This is a really, really great location for exploring Boston. So close to public transit and walkable to many things we were excited to see. The room was clean, quiet, and comfortable. Not the most well-appointed hotel we've ever stayed at, but would strongly recommend to anyone going to Boston for a few nights.

Very little could have been better. Some things were a bit run-down (the "fitness center" was being used to store shovels and salt for poor weather and no actual gym equipment, for example). But for the price no true complaints.

Great location central to the city and also a block away from the subway. We enjoyed walking almost everywhere we needed with the option to take transit back. No issues with check in or out. Room and building were clean.

The room was pretty minimal as far as amenities. I.e. the desk was very small, no luggage rack, and no place to hang shower towels in the bathroom. There was also no "do not disturb" sign provided, and we were woken up by cleaning staff knocking a couple times around 9-10 when sleeping in later. (They were nice and came back later!)

The hotel is ideally located and surrounded by shopping, good quality restaurants, The Boston Public Library and the T. The staff are really friendly especially the house keeping staff. I enjoyed my stay there and appreciated how reception has free bottled water for their guests. It was a heat wave in Boston when we visited, The receptionist was so welcoming and genuine on arrival asking us how our day was going so far. That was impressive for me. The beauty of this hotel is you can shop at the Prudential Center, go back to your hotel, have a well deserved rest and then continue your shopping adventure in Newbury Street which is only a few short blocks away. I would definitely stay here again while in Boston. Being a lover of history, the hotel fascinated me and the pictures in the room were a wonderful addition. A beautiful boutique hotel that ticks all the right boxes. Thank you for a relaxing stay.

The rooms are a little small but the bed was so comfortable and I liked the big pillows. The air con was struggling a bit with the heat outside.
