I had an excellent stay at Renu. The room was not huge, but more than big enough for me. Ample closet space is available to stow away clothes. The bathroom was very clean and everything you needed was there. Airconditioning is there and very handy in the hot Boston summer. There is a sink, kettle, small stove, pots/pans, cutlery, plates in the room for cooking. Downstairs, there is a larger kitchen that is even more well stocked and has free food available, from cereal to eggs, spreads, and even full meals. This was incredibly useful and saved me some expenses. The location is quite convenient, only a 10 minute walk from the Back Bay station where there is both the subway and Amtrak trains. Special shoutout to the housekeeper, who was extremely friendly and helpful! She really made me feel welcome. The administrative steps from the other reviews are not untrue, but I did not find them a huge hassle. I was actually happy that all formalities (payment, passport, ...) were taken care of upfront, so I could just arrive and enter the building without needing to wait to check in. Building and room access is very easy with a keypad, no fears of forgetting a key or card.

The check in process. We were exhausted and it was midnight when we got in from the airport and it was really irritating to have to go through so much to even get inside the building and then to verify and find out the number and code of the unit. It should all be done from home when one has the time and larger computer screen to do it and not the cell phone and have to worry about running out of battery or sketchy cell reception. Which by the way was the other thing we didn't like.

The room was very clean and comfortable. The kitchen was wonderful with lots of breakfast options and teas, coffee and juices. There is also options for dinner, like pasta that you can cook for yourself. Liked the robe in the room and cold water from a purifier jug. Nice TV, big fridge.

Getting in the front door took almost an hour on the phone. The lady I spoke to thought I had trouble getting in my suite. I had to download an app and still no luck. Luckily one of the other guests let.me in. I called back later with the same problem and after 30 mins of explaining the guy realized they never gave me the front door code. The cleaning fee is $70 and you have to take your own trash out.

The location was ideal for my conference at the Hynes convention center. Convenient to many good restaurants and it was the perfect location for a run to the Charles River. Edith was very helpful and friendly. I will look for availability in the future when my travels take me to Boston.

The only challenge I had was that the room was very warm. Fortunately, there is an AC unit to offset the baseboard heat. I was able to get the temperature right after the first night.

Wonderful lady who took care of the Brownstone. A mix up on parking after we confirmed/payed so 6 flights to take pics proving we parked in the right spot... 95° after a 2 hour delay on the pike and just needing down time before our event was a hassle. BUT parking at the site was an awesome opportunity even though the fee more than covered the convenience. The lighting in the room required climbing/standing on the bed for a light that didn't blind you on the ceiling. The bathroom was uber tight but yet I'm not a skinny girl. All in all, the location was great, the cleanliness was amazing & the bed/bedding was amazing!

Parking mix up.

We really enjoyed our stay! We didn’t realize it was on the top floor (6th) so the stairs were kinda tough but otherwise a lovely spot!

We were never informed about the kitchen! We walked to the 711 to get snacks and the next morning the cleaner, who was lovely, told us we could have made something instead. Maybe I missed it somewhere but would have been nice to know ahead anyway!

We were very satisfied with the people and the quality of the location. The housekeeper was exceptional. The follow up was exceptional. Thanks.

The incoming process of signing documents, providing ID, selfies, blood, first born, etc was over the top obnoxious. It's a hotel room for goodness sake. Very annoying.

Amazing location and compact room, with everything needed for a great stay. Complimentary tea and cereal/milk available downstairs was an added bonus, and appreciated the extra effort in providing some books to read in the room with excellent large screen TV. Bed was really comfortable. Despite some poor reviews in the past, accessing the property using the emailed instructions and after watching the YouTube video was really easy with no issues whatsoever.

Garbage bin under sink was filled with food rubbish, but as I hadn’t created any I did not notice this till my third day when it began to smell. Shower slightly hard to use.

I loved the location, out of the hustle and bustle a bit but still with lots of local restaurants, and handy to a shopping center with even more restaurants and bars. The building was charming, and very comfortable, with a common kitchen that was fully equipped and also stocked with breakfast cereal and oatmeal. The bed was very comfortable and a television was available for those inclined to watch TV. I would happily stay here again any time I return to Boston.

It's hard to find something I didn't like, to be honest. It was an older building and the shower door was a bit wonky, though still functional (if I'd had a Home Depot handy I could have fixed that), but really no significant "negatives" that I can think of.

Bed was nice, no complains at all. AC is behind the curtains of the one window it has (small), it's not exactly a good one, but handles to cool down the temp with patience. Staff (through chat) is really attentive and promptly responding to my questions. Auto check-in/out is really helpful!! Apartment was close to everything I needed, really nice spot!!

I think the unit could have better appliances, everything it's the cheapest and simplest as possible, like iron/table, hairdryer and bathroom in general. I couldn't figure it out the shower at first because the label was so wear off (just open all the way and wait 3 min, then you'll have hot water). Cleanness is not the greatest judging by the towels/lines freshness and floor.
