The Whitlock

Location, charming updated room. Great music soundtrack on screen in room. Convenient parking. Step out right onto shopping and dining street. Good restaurant attached with fine breakfast and very attractive outdoor seating. No common seating but less expensive than other similar locations.

Too few places to hang to towels in bathroom, blinds did not block light adequately and no sheers on windows to give privacy during day. Room overlooked parking lot. No coffee maker in room or complementary coffee downstairs.

Lived this little town! The Whitlock had a great Italian restaurant right downstairs and we were able to have a great dinner and then walk back to our room, all without going outside.

The thermostat for the whole hotel was controlled and we could not adjust it. It was set to 75 which had the radiator running at full blast all night. We had the windows open in 30 degree weather because we couldn't get comfortable sleeping with such a high temperature.

Excellent location in the core of Lenox, walking distance to restaurants and shops. Room was clean and well maintained. Bed was comfortable. Helpful and friendly staff.

While possessing a charming ambiance, the age and character of the structure means: 1. Poor acoustical separation of rooms; 2. No elevator. Emergency stairs need to be better maintained.

The location is great. It’s an easy walk to restaurants and stores in Lenox. The Inn itself is clean, comfortable and charming. The website pictures are accurate. Convenient parking.

There was construction noise coming from the floor above us. Perhaps they are doing renovations. It started early in the morning and ran late into the evening. The staff seemed a little disorganized and unresponsive. For example, one forgot to enter our breakfast order, and the wait times for breakfast were long. The television has few channels/options. None of these are deal-breakers, but, for the price, you would expect better.

Very comfortable bed and lovely modern bathroom, they were installing a new sprinkler system when we were there, so we spent some time down the street at the Constance which was also beautiful. Everyone was so kind and friendly. Had a latte at the restaurant downstairs, which was delicious.

Our entire stay was so lovely. Brenda made us feel so welcome and all throughout the stay was such a gem!! I work in hospitality and I must give her high praise, she went above and beyond. The breakfast was excellent and unexpected. The rooms were very quaint and very comfortable. Parking a non issue. The proximity to all activities be it dining, shopping or Tanglewood very convenient. I am most likely to return !!!

The restaurant menu could use some more lite meal items that satisfy travelers for lunch and dinner because there is an opportunity there to capture guests as many restaurants in town get booked and as you are arriving to the hotel it would be nice to stay there and enjoy some food with the amazing ambiance outside. Additionally a dessert and post dining liquor menu would be wonderful to enjoy by the firepit and outside seating.

The inn was recently remodeled and very very comfortable and charming. My brother and I were on business and the staff was very accommodating to our needs, especially Ashlie with and "ie"! Ashley with a "y" was equally delightful! Due to all the rain in the forecast we had to stay inside, so we took over one beautifully laid out room and didn't allow any other guest to use it. :), Sorry! We will definitely be back with the wives next time. We would highly recommend this inn to anyone visiting the area. Just make sure if you happen to be there when we are you stay out of our room. Breakfast was ok but not on site. It was at a property close by. Only 1 gluten free option.

Room key wasn’t on site. Check in person had to go get it from another property close by. I wanted to just check in and relax, but had to wait around for 20 minutes for my key to arrive.

Stunning period building, very tastefully done up. Great location within lovely Lenox. Room was spacious, attractive, and comfortable

It was challenging to get service at the restaurant or bar, there are staff but getting attention or getting a table or seat (despite many open seats) was oddly difficult

The staff, to a person, were friendly and very helpful, not waiting to be asked for assistance. The accommodation (cozy queen) was just a little tight but was very comfortable. Bathroom was clean with the shower providing plenty of consistent hot water.

There was a bit of noise after hours that filtered up to the room. Parking was a bit tight at certain times of the day and night. It wasn't clear that we needed to be seated to have breakfast.
