Howard Johnson by Wyndham Lenox

Exceptionally clean and friendly and surprisingly quiet. Coffee and very simple continental breakfast was perfectly ok for a start to the day. Nothing like the yummy expensive patisserie downtown but free and easy. Despite double price for Tanglewood concert night, it was cheaper than almost anything in town. Competent vintage Howard Johnson style. No historic charm, but 10 minutes away. Housekeeping excellent.

Out of town in commercial area, not enough accessible plugs for electronics. Wifi marginal. Pool not working.

Our expectations were not very high, so we were surprised at the level of accommodation. The room was the largest of any of the 10 hotels we stayed at on a 14 day trip. The towels were the softest of any other hotel, and the breakfast was better than we anticipated. Considering the other high-priced alternatives in Lenox, HJ was a treat.

While the second floor corner room was quiet, an elevator would have been nice. Parking for the second floor can be a problem as space near the stairs is at a premium. The A/C unit was an either on or off affair, but that was pretty common in many of the hotels.

The breakfast was very basic, they did have good quality yogurt and fresh blueberries the first day. The room was large and mostly nice. The couch in it was old and dirty; the carpet was new, but laid in a manner that caused it to buckle it was wavy so a tripping hazard. The bathroom was nice. The room was clean. The desk staff were friendly and helpful. The pool was clean. There is a very nice Whole Foods-like grocery store with a Marshals and a CVS across the street which was nice. The microwave and fridge were new and clean.

I had a second floor room and lots of luggage.. no elevator. I was there for 2 nights 3 days by the 3rd day there was nothing left for breakfast except 1 package of oatmeal. The breakfast room is VERY small 2 tables, but it was not a problem. The furnishings were dated.

It was a very clean comfortable spacious room. Was very pleased with whole experience. Was pleasantly surprised, with the price the location and the service.

Breakfast was nonexistent, some stale bagels and some stale cereal, The coffee was great and fresh. The breakfast place down the street ( Roses ) was excellent. I am glad the breakfast at the hotel was bad because we were forced to go elsewhere, and Roses was a great find.

A solid, typical USA roadside inn. We had a spacious and clean room with a decent bed that was mostly quiet. Breakfast being included was a nice touch (although it was fairly basic). Overall good value though, would use it again.

We could hear the neighbour's TV through the wall but fortunately that didn't last long.

I loved how friendly and nice the stuff was. I rented the jacuzzi room for the weekend for me and my partner and I spent the first night alone for some nuch needed me time and I felt so safe and welcome. It is a great location

The location was perfect for spending a week in the Berkshires. It was easy to travel to each of the sites I wanted to visit. The room was spacious, comfortable, and clean. The staff was helpful and accommodated my needs.

Why were there 2 tubs in our room? —a regular bathtub plus a pink jacuzzi tub surrounded by mirrors? Also, the tv cable was iffy Pool very unappealing No real closet to hang up clothes

The staff was attentive and informative , we rented a room with the jacuzzi in the room and was given instructions on how to use it , the room was clean ( im a clean freak so i brought my own cleaning supplies as well )

Quiet for a one night stay. Huge room.

The free continental breakfast is an overstatement. I've seen a lot of free breakfasts over the years. But this one was downright laughably lacking. Too bad, cuz it's my only complaint about the place.
