Perry's Motel and Cottages

The owners were very nice and accommodating. Our two bedroom cottage was in a perfect location to watch our grandchild play on the playground or in the pool. She had a great time playing with the other kids. The extra activities such as complimentary s'mores and cotton candy were a definite hit! The location is perfect, parking is easy. Others found the beds comfortable. Kitchen area was mostly stocked well with nice pans. There is a nice charcoal grill outside each cabin with picnic table so in good weather you can eat at that as there isn't room for more than two people to eat in kitchen. The bedrooms were a good size. The larger one has plenty of drawer space, no bureau in the smaller bedroom.

These are not necessarily complaints, as obviously space is limited, but just so others know what to expect. There is no storage space in the kitchen. I do think with a little rearranging a small cabinet with drawer and doors could easily be added for some space to store what you bring from home. We planned to cook most of our meals and I had to work out of the boxes I brought. The refrigerator was not full size but was adequate. It was a juggling act to move things around as we tried to cook meals as there was really no place to put things besides the small table. The area to watch tv is only big enough for 2 people and not very comfortable but makes do with the space available. Kitchen had no sharp knives to cut stuff up with so may want to bring your own.

The beds were very comfortable. The Amenities were exceptional for Families traveling with children. There were 2 playgrounds, a heated in-ground pool, a fire pit, and Weber Charcoal Grills at each cabin; even ones without kitchens like ours. This was the perfect accommodation for my daughter, me, and my 5-year-old Grandson.

We needed hooks for some of our clothing but when we mentioned this to the owner he was adding them. They take suggestions seriously and do fix what they can. Even though these cottages are older the owner is working on them to make them more and more comfortable.

Location, amenities. This is a wonderful budget location to bring small children. Even in peak season, the pricing is reasonable.

The mattresses are not very comfortable, so if you need softness to sleep, bring your own pillows and bedding. Once I purchase a pillow from the Walmart up the street, the sleep was reasonable. Also note that these are older facilities, and it shows in a number of little ways. None of them detracted from the quality of the stay, but if you are sensitive to detail such as exact 90° corners or perfectly flat floors, perhaps stay at a more expensive location.

A lovely family run motel. The owners were always on site, and super friendly! The room was a comfortable size, comfy beds too! The heated pool was brilliant with beach balls and rubber rings. The owner put the heating on for us which was a lovely gesture. Play parks too! Handy for story land and a dunkin donuts down the road for breakfast! The shower was brilliant, hot water and good pressure! We loved our stay and stayed an extra night. If you are traveling with young children (ours is 4) check out Perry's Motel! If you don't have children I'd still stay too!

The new owners were very friendly, made you feel welcome. They are doing lots of updates to get the place fresh again. The rooms were very clean, bedding was clean, towels were clean & smelling good. Only complaint was the bed in the cabin was only a double which is just smaller than I like for comfort. The owner made fresh coffee each morning that was delicious & free along with mini donuts & muffins. Saturday they made cotton candy for the kids which my daughter loved ! But most of all our favorite thing about Perry’s was GRACE ❤️ We would definitely return.

Nothing to not like.

Liked the location, family friendly atmosphere, nice pool, colorful playgrounds, lots of outdoor games and toys, picnic tables and grills.

Our cabin was clean but outdated with old furniture in desperate need of maintenance. Maybe the motel rooms are better. Some of the light fixtures came away from the wall and whatever got plugged in, would fall out. The bathroom was tiny. Shower fixtures also came away from the wall. Tall or heavy set people would have a very hard time with these accommodations.

The owners were great and it was clean. Great pool and playground. Easy to get to all the amenities but off the main rd. very quite.

The beds were very uncomfortable and not enough pillows. I would bring some extras. The walls do not go to the ceiling so if the room next to you has their lights on it lights up the entire cottage. The bathroom is also partially opened at the ceiling and the smell carries throughout the cottage.

The room was small but it was clean and comfortable. The bathroom was a bit challenging for product user as there was not countertop but it was clean and well stocked with the bare essensials.

A suggestion: maybe a Mirror in the room area or a vanity area would be useful. Access to Extra blankets would be nice as well. I liked the room and I would stay again. Very good experience.

Cottages were cute and well equipped with brand new grills and accessories, plenty of cookware and dishes. Pool and games (ping pong, shuffleboard, volleyball) were a super fun bonus! The owners and staff were friendly and extremely responsive. My only complaint was that I couldn't get my kid to leave the property!

We rented a unit with a sofa bed and the sofa bed was, in keeping with tradition, pretty awful. A cheap foam foldout sofa would probably be more comfortable for most guests. The bathroom was clean but a little rustic. These are very minor quibbles in the context of the WONDERFUL stay we had! Just a heads up for people with back issues who care about shower tiling.

Loved everything about my stay. Outdoor pool is heated and maintained at comfortable 80 degrees. My favorire part is.. How many places can you go to and be able to interact with the owners directly!! Ali and Aaron are beyond amazing friendly owners. Enjoyed the family oriented feel, the hospitality, and comfortable feel of diversity. I will be definitely staying here again when I come back to the mountains. Thank you!!
