The hotel met my historic expectations. The location was beautiful in the White Mountains. The rocking chairs on the porch were perfect. The food in the restaurant and bar was delicious. The double beds were comfortable.

There were two big disappointments that should be easy to rectify. First, the century old elevator was difficult to manage while trying to get our luggage upstairs. A bellman would be very helpful and prevent pulled muscles. The second annoyance was that there was no easy access to outlets. A modern lamp with an outlet and charging station should be considered. Charging your phone in the bathroom is not ideal. And some people need CPAP machines. Lastly, the alarm was on the otherside of the room. Boo!

The hotel is a historic gem nestled in the mountains a couple of miles from Jackson and overlooking a beautiful golf course. The veranda along the whole length of the building with maybe 40 to 50 of rocking chairs is a great place to take in the scenery, have a chat with someone just met or have a few cooling drinks after dinner. The place is very quiet and despite the building’s age, one does not hear ones’ neighbors. Staff was very friendly and gave us some advice as to what to do in the area although guests who seemed to return every year had even better suggestions.

we had a family room with two Queen beds. These beds were definitely not large; we’re fit and lean but for larger or taller people these beds would be to tight.

Great location, very quiet road, next to the golf course and view on mountains and a lot of green. Restaurant was good. Kids loved the play room, nice they organised a movie night, the porch is a divine place to drink something and read.

The breakfast/diner room can use a bit of an upgrade in chairs, tables and atmosphere. Pool was closed for reconstruction and not communicated upfront so bit disappointing.

Literally 10 min away from the Pinkham Notch trailhead. Loved the location and this hotel is one of not too many that I really liked. My room had everything we needed except a refrigerator which would be a nice thing to have in July. But overall, I am very impressed by how the things are handled and everything is taken care of. Number 1 on my list in New Hampshire. 10 out of 10!

We have been at this place many times in the past and are always happy to return here. It's a beautiful place with comfort, atmospheric breakfast room and ski trails just steps away from the entrance. We love this place. (I should mention that yes, we have only visited it in winter, for winter sports). Tip: check out the elevator!

It would be cool if at some point the hotel guests are given some discount on the Jackson XC skiing trails.

very beautiful and historic property. Beautiful pool across the street. The location is fantastic. We loved sitting on a very long porch overlooking the mountains during the evening with a cocktail.

The property seemed a bit run down, very old carpet, peeling paint. Especially on the backside of the property, outside of the building needs new paint. I understand the building is historic, it needs more upkeep, it is a beautiful building and has so much potential.

Me and my couple loved our stay! We love the architecture of the building, the amenities offered at the hotel, the view from our room, the staff, and the menu options for dining. The hotel is in a central location, not too far from Conway, and it is close to most tourist sites in the area, like sky stations, hiking trails, and historic buildings.

We liked everyting at this hotel

Just a wonderful and quiet New England Inn. Was a beautiful day of hiking and had dinner out on the veranda. They are going to renovate the inn in the next few years. Hope they keep the heritage inn charm. Love the history of the area and driving through a covered bridge into the town of Jackson. You've got to use the working 1920's elavator.

Actually, we were not able to stay. The on-site EV charging station was not working properly for our Tesla. Zara was excellent at making alternate arrangements for us! The room was comfortable for the short time we were there! The grounds were lovely and location beautiful!!

Only that the EV wasn't going to meet our needs

Established in 1849, the eagle mountain house has a true spirit. The lobby, the corridor, the rooms and even the 100 year old manual elevator are a testament to the memories people created here. The porch with the mountain view was a delight. The bathrooms were refurbished nicely. The room rates were an extremely good deal.

There is no pool. The rooms and corridors were kept in their original styling (i think). E.g. pipes are running on the ceiling etc.. Some may not like it.
