Staybridge Suites Buffalo-Amherst, an IHG Hotel

The check in was smooth. The facilities were clean. The breakfast bar was fantastic. Every day fresh food. The staff working the breakfast area wer friendly and kind. Helped us when we ran out of items. The associates at the front desk were magnificent and very helpful. Location within the small shopping and dining center near UB and the Maple 8 Cinemas.

The pool was not open until the last 2 days that we were in the hotel. We were offered to go to one close by as a help. The laundry facilties were not working correctly. The washers were fine, but the dryers were not working - only one worked well enough to dry clothes. I was told only one that worked was number 3 but no signs were up to inform guests that the dryers were not working properly. I was assured that the repairman would come to fix them.

The staff was exceptional in "Customer service"! From the front desk staff to the folks cleaning the floors! The "Social Hour" was excellent and surprising how well guests and staff were so enjoyable to be around.

The hotel had only 1 working elevator so waiting for an elevator to bring luggage down took some extra passes for us to fit. The shower head was so powerful, pulled the head back, sprayed water over the floor and we ended up using an extra towel to keep water from building up around the toilet. The toilet was too low for us making it harder to get up and down. Felt like a "kids" toilet.

As a member, I regularly stay in IHG properties which I will be honest - I've been underwhelmed in the past. However, this property was probably the BEST Staybridge I've been to. The staff were ALL professional, courteous and kind. I've already booked another stay at this property!

Breakfast.

You were rated on Booking as having excellent breakfast. YES YES. The desk staff really friendly. The room large and just fine. I like haveing the toilet and the sink in separate compartments. Elevators work. Parking ample. The special snack on Monday was great. We had to miss Taco Tuesday, which we regret. Also the restaurants in the parking area looked tempting but we had no time to test them. Anytime I have to come up to visit family, this is where I go.

The parking lot needs potholes filled.

It was perfect- nothing didnt like (if had to think hard for something - one of the two elevators was out of service so had to wait a bit longer for a elevator so we ended up taking stairs a few times because we were only on third floor but that’s actually good because we got more exercise and we know that is not fault if hotel)

Location near to the bus stop and comfort. Friendly staff.

The only issue is that they had just one elevator working for the entire hotel, so going up or going down, you will had to wait longer than the usual.

This is one of the most welcoming and comfortable places I have ever stayed at. Great management and staff, rooms are always clean and very comfortable. Outstanding breakfast, decent location.

Bummer that the hot tub is closed

The room was spacious, the supplies made my stay comfortable, extra pillows and sheets... plus all the hygiene and cleaning liquids.

Room service slow to respond for extra towels or just a simple cleaning while we were out, even after I asked the front desk for house keeping, the response was : sure, why not.

The staff was great. Breakfast was very nice. The location was awesome

Bed size is definitely an issue. Pull out bed was nasty . The bathroom needs to be centrally located if people are on pull out
