The Harbor Front Inn

Everything was wonderful! We paid for a partial view room and we were a bit skeptical as to what "partial" might mean but we had a lovely view of the harbor. We did have to pay extra for parking in the hotel lot but the staff was awesome in letting us stay there after we checked out to go roam Front Street one more time. Breakfast was perfect for us...the coffee was delicious and the continental spread was more than adequate for what we wanted. The location was perfect. I love the decor of the hotel...the room was modern rustic but very cozy. We loved it! I would definitely stay there again! The staff was awesome!

We loved it all! I wish I would have known more about the "sister hotel" and access to it's private beach. I also didn't know about Hay Beach until after we were leaving...I am not sure how we missed that info. We spent our days on the harbor side and we did go over to Shelter Island to the beach which was well worth it.

The location was perfect. The room was bright and clean. We loved the ability to walk out on the little deck and look at the views and get fresh air. We had a side view of the harbor it was beautiful. Breakfast was perfect. Coffee and little something to start each day.

I had initial reservation for March and due to unforeseen circumstances needed to change the dates. Still went for the same amount of time but the price of the stay increased. I would understand if it was a change of season but still before summer and most things were not open.

Central location near everything. Clean, well appointed room.

Charged in FULL upon booking one month in advance, added "Optional" charge for their charity, which was removed upon request. A charge for parking in the Summer? I will never go there in Summer. $100 charge for incidentals, again removed after two days. I get the feeling that money is their main concern.

The hotel is in a prime location in the heart of Greenport, and watching the boats from my balcony was  spectacular with the beautiful sunrise over the water! Nice style and relaxing vibe with lovely little buffet breakfast in the handsome great room. Triple head Swiss shower in the bathroom!!!

Loved location and room.

Registration people were fine, but not a lot of personality and were not very knowledgeable about the area. They made a few suggestions, but clearly not concierge-like staff. Also, continental breakfast could have been better. The muffins were hard. 8

Convenient for our planned family meet-up day at a nearby location; clean, comfortable room; “universal design”, complex shower fittings, plump pillows and thick towels; terry robes available in closet

Pricey, especially extra fee ($25) for parking, and “hold” on credit card for potential incidentals; no coffee service available in room; “serve yourself” breakfast was simple, basic bagels and cold hard-cooked egg and fruits/juice. (Pandemic influence perhaps). Elevator was out of service when we returned from a late lunch; waited for half hour while repair was being negotiated, then took the stairs, slowly. Fortunately, our bags had been placed in room by a family member, and elevator was working the next morning.

The breakfast was adequate. I think due to the pandemic it was limited. There was limited space, it was set up so the food had to be taken back to the room.

The staff was very accommodating. We went off season and that was comfortable. However, they have a policy of charging paying guests for parking in the hotel parking lot. I find that charging your guests to park in the facility's lot feels like they are not valued for anymore then their credit card. During our stay they did not charge for the parking and it made things much more comfortable - we absolutely appreciated the accommodation.

Location was good in center of town.

Room was noisy 1. Nexxt to partking lot and at 6 am there were deliveries, mainteance 2. Overlooked swimming pool and often there were noise children there. 3. Talkative neighbors on next balcony that was 2 feet away.

Convenient to town, pool was great , balcony was nice and view was pretty, breakfast selection was nice , staff very friendly

Housekeeping was only if you specifically asked for it. A little tidying up of trash and shower area without having to specify daily would have been easier.
