Clarion Inn & Suites Lake George

The manager Mike and all of his staff that we came in contact with were wonderful. The room was very clean. The air-conditioning was great and the showers were nice and hot. The breakfast was OK. There was scrambled eggs,sausage links, toast and some danishes. We did not visit the pool area, but my husband did use the exercise room and the equipment was in working condition. The location was great if you're a shopper because it is located within the outlet stores. Overall we were pleased with our stay.

There was 2 items that made our stay less than perfect. The first was the beds. We stayed in a king bed room on the 1st floor and the bed was very hard. I woke up every morning in pain from my hips,shoulders and back. And the other item was the floor of the shower was the slickest shower I had ever used. I slipped during my 1st shower and ended up putting a hand towel on the floor of the shower to finish my shower.

As soon as we entered into the atrium, we were greeted by an awesome day manager. We were about 2 hours earlier than our check-in time, and he was extremely professional, and courteous and informed us that he would have the room ready in less than 40 minutes if we wanted to check in then. He provided us easy directions to attractions within less than 2-mile radius of our hotel and offered great advice in how to access some points of interest. The entire stay, both day and night staff were pleasant, professional, helpful, and responsive.

The location of the back lot was lack luster with regards to scenery, and there was some construction on the pool deck which prevented use, but overall, there was not much to "dislike" about these accommodations.

Location was totally awesome!! It had a jacuzzi and heated indoor pool but was disappointed we didn’t have time to use it!!! Staff was great!!

I would have to say I was disappointed in the appearance of the inside lobby area and ambience. I feel it 100% needs a total makeover. And also the breakfast eating area definitely needs a redo. They seemed very outdated with old carpet / furniture/ decor. The hallways seemed ok. Our room number 126 was very nice and seemed to have all just been remodeled/updated. The bathroom, shower, seating chairs and bed were all great!! 👍

We had a lower room with a little patio off a sliding door with a couple of chairs. They came in handy for drying our suits in the fresh air. They also had washer and dryer there, for our use. Breakfast was very nice. Good selection of pastries, juices and cereals. Mike at the front desk was so very helpful with many different suggestions for a meal. I actually liked that we were not bothered by daily cleaning of the room, since we were only staying 3 days. Just put our used towels outside of the door, and they were replaced the next morning. We also enjoyed using the pool and hot tub for a refreshing dip in the afternoon. It was really hot while we were there, so we took a little break in the afternoon.

Needed someone to take a little care in keeping the counter and appliances a little cleaner, there was waffle batter spilled on the counter and on the batter delivery system. Tables could have been wiped down a little more often.

Breakfast is fine. Toiletries and other supplies are adequate. Bed is comfy. Sheets are clean, white and no stain. Staff are friendly, helpful and accommodating. Location is quite far from the center of the town, but perfect for shoppers because it's located in the outlet/mall. Price is competitive. Didn't notice any peculiar smell.

Our room is located near the entrance so we expected some noise. But at night, it's quite and peaceful. Unfortunately, the next day the broiler broke so we didn't have hot water at that time. But they took care of the problem asap. I just wish they have some kind of a hook in the bathroom where one can hung their robes. Need a door stopper, door knob keeps hitting the wall. Eventually there will be hole in that wall.

Rooms were clean .

I booked at the clarion in lake George, but found a note on the door stating I had to go down the road to the George hotel ! I booked in advance ! And was never told about this change ! We are not from the area , it’s cold outside there especially at night . I’m recovering from cancer treatment . The toilet is very close to the floor and is hard to sit down or get up. There are no safety rails to get in or out of the shower area , I’m saying I’m invalid but for older folks it is not easy using the bathroom facilities.

That it was on the ground floor, just inside the door because my husband walks with a walker & everything was close to our room.

The pool & hot tub was a little far from our room, but he took his time & made it there for the hot tub. The pool was a little chilly for me but the hot tub was wonderful. The bathtub was a little too tall for my husband, I thought it would be a walk in shower because the ad I had said handicap room. But we will go back there very soon. Great hotel!

Dolly checked us in . Her personality suits her name. What a doll! She told us that the hotel is a little short staffed, so I asked for additional toiletries in advance since I would be needing extra shampoo for my long hair. The beds were comfortable and the pillows were like sleeping on clouds in Heaven! The best pillows I ever slept on. 😃 Mike the Manager checked us out and I thanked him for such great service. My family and I had a wonderful vacation. Thanks again, Donna, N.Y.

I didn’t have enough time to use the pool & sauna. There were no bananas at the continental breakfast. A variety of fruit would be a plus!

We liked that the hotel was clean and comfortable and the free breakfast was very nice!

The hotel desperately needs an elevator. Dragging our suitcases up the two flights of stairs and going up and down in general was not fun considering we are seniors all be it fairly fit but really!! Nice hotel needs a sign at the 149 junction tell people to turn left not right into Lake George

I would like to thank the staff, Kim front desk clerk, and Mike, the manager. We made arrangements through booking, and I shared with my friends, and one of them bumped my reservation out. So, with the help of Kim and Mike, they were able to get me a room and upgrade it to a suite. It's too long of a way to not have a place to lay your head.
