Baymont by Wyndham Queensbury/Lake George

My fiancé and I booked a weekend getaway for our anniversary. Although all of our plans got canceled on us last minute, at least I can say that this property gave us a great place to stay for the money that we spent. We loved the pool and the location was great.

The only complaint that my fiancé had was the sound of the highway traffic heard from our room and the limited parking on the side of the building where our room was. Nothing too horrible, though.

Breakfast was good. Cereal, bagels, English muffins, waffles coffee, juices etc. Location centrally located. Easy access to 87. In the heart of Restaurants, mall, stores, minutes to outlet malls.

At times there wasn’t any customer service at the counters. They need a bell on counter. They need to keep their “Just dreaming” card on their door. We didn’t have one & hear knocking on our door & a lady/man standing there to come tidy the room! We were dressed to go out and told them, but they didn’t understand me and came in to collect garbage & take wet towels. Our beds we did ourselves. We weren’t aware that they would come each day. When we were leaving, we found the do not disturb notice hanging in the closet.

Easy check in, friendly staff, nice size room (king bed w/ couch, microwave & fridge), seems like hotel is only 2 floors (no elevator), large area/land, nice size pool (open until 9 pm), breakfast until 9 AM (we didn't go so can't comment on that), gym is 1 treadmill and some weights. A bit older decor, but comfortable, clean and very acceptable. Laundry and vending machine available. Close to a lot of restaurants, bars, Walmart, 10 min from Lake George, huge parking lot.

Walls are a bit "thin" especially in the bathroom. You can hear others from time to time. In the middle of the night we heard a weird noise and figured it was pipes rattling. Need more/better towels by the pool area.

The room was comfortable. We were only in town for a couple days for my mother's memorial service. We spent most of the time out of the room and with the exception of noisy air conditioning fan, we didn't have any problems.

The bathtub drained a little slow. It might have been a good idea to have an iron in the room for the ironing board. Some of the furniture in the room could use with replacing. The coffee table, and the pull out cushions were in pretty rough shape.

Beautiful area, convenient to a lot of eateries and stores.

I didn't like that the smokers hung around the parking lot and a lot of cigarette butts on the ground. Also the door key readers need to be looked at on both the outside doors and rooms. Had to keep putting the key into the slot several times because the reader was not reading the key card correctly. Oh and need to fix the ice machine on the first floor...it was broken. The breakfast area was okay. I wished they had an ice and water dispenser. It should also have options for gluten free.

Hotel was sufficient for our needs. Comfy beds. Warm pool, friendly staff. And tasty breakfast Overall we would probably stay here again but just double check cleanliness before putting stuff down.

Blood dropplets on the mirror and back of bathroom door. Obviously from iv drug use. As well as a huge sneeze splatter on the mirror. And a very large questionable staine on the edge of the bed in the 1st room we were in.

The hotel was at the end of a road all by itself so that was nice, also down the road was the mall, and so many restaurants which was nice for us as well. Our room was very decently sized for the price we paid, really clean, I loved the two mirrors and sinks as there were 3 females in my room lol.

Only thing we didn't enjoy was how loud the doors slammed especially when your trying to sleep and can hear them. We also unfortunately had noisy neighbors on one side, they had kids, and a dog, so we had to call the front desk because they were being loud until 11 at night but the front desk too care of that which was nice, so thank you!

Facility was fine. Breakfast was mostly carbs but the desk cheerfully gave me the name of a nearby outstanding breakfast restaurant which made my day. They also had a few washers and dryers so I could dry my wet beach towels before packing them away which was very appreciated.

The room was clean, roomie and looked great. The A/C worked great and the furniture lent itself well to technology. The Nightstand had plenty of USB plugs and electrical outlets to accommodate charging and powering everything I needed to power and charge. I love the little things like this.

Housekeeping did not tidy up the rooms at all. Just added towels and took the garbage. Not sure if this is a covid thing or not but I found it strange. We only needed a full clean up like this once during our stay and she did not do it. Also, the breakfast part of breakfast included was a complete joke. Yogurt, Prepackaged muffins, instant oatmeal, coffee and juice. That's not even a continental breakfast. No fruit. No bagels. I only took part in it once because I was so dissapointed.

The location that was easily accessible to highway. Nice diner right down the block. Friendly and professional desk clerk. Comfortable beds and pillows. Fridge in room was a plus. Inside lobby and hallways clean and nice looking. Window could be opened for fresh air. Bathroom shower spray water pressure was great.

The outside of the building needs repair and curb appeal, price of $199 is too high would expect to pay no more than $100 per night. The towels were stiff and very scratchy. An odor in hall at back entrance C. Room doors need painting as scuff marks visible on the bottoms.When we drov up to o th hotel it looked shabby and not kept up, little curb appeal but on entering lobby it was a pleasant surprise. Seems that owner has done some upgrades and hopefully outside repairs will be addressed as well.
