The Inn at Erlowest

The inn is absolutely beautiful, you can book a private dinner if you wish or eat in the dining room, there are also great restaurants in the area, if you don't want yo eat at the inn. The staff is always helpful with choices, even if it's a weekday and some places are closed. (winter does that). Cozy and romantic. great breakfast choices, Lots of nearby shopping, water sports, boating and hiking,(in the summer). We've stayed twice 1st time in the erlowest suite 2nd in the Horicon both were really nice. Next time I want the Montcalm suite. Well Worth the travel time and money. If your looking for a romantic getaway you won't be dissatisfied.

There are weddings a lot and sone areas are closed off for them. Wish they offered breakfast outside in the igloos in the winter.

The location was excellent. Close to everything we wanted. The breakfast was over the top. We loved the cream puffs. Having the ability to choose which breakfast you preferred was a nice option Our server was so pleasant and accommodating.

When we arrived there was a wedding party leaving on a bus. I felt like we were intruding while checking in. Which was not the case. Of course the wedding at night took over the outside patio, which again didn’t bother us because we did not intend to sit outside. I really can not give a negative comment. We loved it there.

Food and bar service was exceptional. Everything from the chef, server, bartender and restaurant manager far exceeded our expectations. Front desk staff was terrific as well.

This was our second visit. Everything was beyond exceptional except for the pillows. They are hard as a rock (my significant other said like bricks) and took firm to a new level. Not at all comfortable.

The Inn has always treated us well. Staff are attentive, friendly, warm and welcoming. The rooms are cozy. The food is exceptional.

There’s really not much to say negatively about the Inn. It’s a charming spot that my wife and I adore. The only things is we wish they were open for dinner for more days of the week. And the prices were a little cheaper. But you get what you pay for here and it’s well worth it.

The Inn at Erlowest is a gorgeous old mansion, beautifully appointed and sitting on impeccable grounds at the edge of the clear waters of Lake George. Because It is a small hotel, we received personal attention. The staff is well trained and devoted to their guests. Our special thanks to Ursula for her kindness at all hours of the day and night! Dining at the 4 Diamond restaurant was a welcome delight. We hope to have the opportunity to return to this little slice of heaven!

The property is beautiful - overlooks Lake George with great sunrise!!! My wife and I stayed in the “Stone Mansion” for three(3) nights. Our room - Montcalm - was a great bargain for the amenities that it offered - large suite with fireplace and jacuzzi - very large private wrap around balcony - again overlooking Lake George and the landscaped surroundings of Erlowest. The property was built in the late 1800’s and has been beautifully maintained. You will love the interior spaces, the dining rooms, and the breakfasts and dinners were exceptional. Don’t miss an opportunity to have some of your meals at Erlowest!! This property also has villa accommodations that are more contemporary, in addition to an outdoor pool, lake shoreline and boating access, etc.. Our stay was in late March, 2021 so we were not able to take advantage and experience the outdoor amenities. However, we did have my birthday dinner in a heated Igloos on the outdoor ground level patio area situated next to an inviting outdoor fireplace - very romantic!!! If you are ever planning a trip to Lake George, the Inn at Erlowest should be your “GO TO” place to stay and/or have breakfast/dinner. As for me, my wife and I are planning to return to Erlowest this coming Fall for another long weekend stay. Lastly, the Staff was very friendly, polite, and accommodating.

We stayed in the erlowest suite, it was beautiful the staff was very friendly and accommodating, the fireplace outside was absolutely beautiful, dinner and breakfast we're delicious.

The staff was extra friendly . Had a slight problem with a.c but staff corrected promptly. It was our fault. A truly unique experience. Great breakfasts. Good location. A mile from the center of town. Quiet . Amenities fine. Would absolutely return.

I liked how beautiful the building was, the awesome jacuzzi, and the fact that the temperature of the room was perfect.

The way the staff talked about the house keeping girls was not professional.
