Hyatt Place Saratoga/Malta

Excellent location off of the interstate but not too close (could not hear it), clean, quiet, mostly friendly and helpful staff, and breakfast was very good. Hard to beat the price for a room for up to six people (two queens and a pull-out sofa bed).

The pool was very crowded. Breakfast was also crowded and at least one staff member did not want to allow families to sit in the only available seats left (it was at the bar, in the morning - they had signs posted that no kids are allowed, but there was nowhere else to sit and the staff member appeared to be angry about it). The room smelled a little funny when the AC was not running, so we kept it running the whole time (it was summertime).

Location is good, staff were incredibly nice. Conflict with check out time. Reservation confirmation said 10am. Person we asked at the desk last night said 11am but the information on the back of the room door said 12noon. Lol

The shower leaked out of the shower, water went everywhere. Not the greatest design. We told the staff at the front desk. Pillows were terrible, 2 pillows barely felt like one. Would be nice to keep the bar open till 11pm. Not necessarily food, but drinks would be nice.

I was between homes, had an extended stay. Breakfast was good, well-prepared, ample supplies, a number of options/variety, area kept clean. Grounds well kept, hallways pretty good, quality of room, bathroom, and shower were great. Stain on my carpet, and some wear in the common areas, but generally well-maintained. Pool and exercise area clean and well-maintained. Exercise area had the basics: free weights, treadmill, elliptical, bicycle. Nice layout with patio for sunning right next to the pool. Staff were generally young, friendly, enthusiastic, helpful, competent. Well-managed. Small bar/cafe counter at night a plus when you don't want to go out. The location next to I-87 was great, and it is in a lightly used business park where you can walk or jog. Had a great stay and would definitely recommend this hotel.

I had nothing to complain about. I wouldn't have wanted to stay next to the exit door downstairs, as it banged loudly when people passed, but the only irritants were other guests, which you will get anywhere.

Was having an extended stay, staff nicely gave us a corner room which I think was a little more spacious. Nothing fabulous, but everything worked well and the room was clean and well laid out. I almost never say "best I ever had" about anything, but actually the shower was. Nothing crazy or unusual, but a nice large shower head, clean stall, easy to figure out and operate controls, and good water temperature and pressure. Staff were very nice, friendly, helpful. They provided towels and other sundries without question. Breakfast was very good. It was not extensive, but it hit all the basics, was bountiful, and provided a full breakfast every day with a variety of options so that one did not necessarily get tired of the same things every day. The pool was good, exercise room sufficient.

Some areas are showing a little wear and tear.

I wish I got the name of the gentleman that worked the night shift. He was more than accommodating!! I ordered food and I didn’t realize the person would deliver to my room (I was at pool with kids when food delivered). The gentleman went to look for me to tell me my food was delivered . I felt he went above and beyond. I didn’t have cash on me otherwise I would have given him a tip. He needs to be recognized as he did not have to do that!!

This was our 2nd stay we will be back!

The breakfast is fantastic! The people are (for the most part) very nice and go out of their way to make everything wonderful. It's nice and quiet, I didn't have any loud neighbors, the rooms are cleaner than most I've stayed in. They even have food you can buy any time ... even if you get in at 12:30 am from a 15 hr drive.

You pull in the back of the parking lot on the wrong side of the building... it feels like an odd location, but is actually a very nice spot. There was an odd mix up about rooms but I gave a feeling that employee is getting talked to and may not be there long.

Nice stay at the Hyatt in Malta. Short driving distance to Saratoga Springs. Very convenient. Our room was large and comfortable. Nevertheless, wear and tear is starting to show. They need to keep up with the maintenance. Breakfast was very nice and filling. Beds were very comfortable, including the sofa bed, which is not very common.

Wear and tear is starting to show in the room we got: stains on the carpet, shower head base on the wall was lose, a few cracks on the wall, etc.

From my check-in on 6/24 to my checkout on 6/27 the customer service was excellent! Every staff I interacted with and or observed treated each guest with exceptional service, Michelle and Casey said either good morning/ have a good day/ thank you for staying with us, safe travels etc. to each and every guest that came through the lobby....the house keeping staff was also great, I saw her several Times during my stay either in the elevator, cleaning another room or in the hallway and she was always upbeat friendly, positive I wish I got the name of each and every staff that I interacted with.... They were amazing Hyatt place should be very proud to have such dedicated employees. In addition the breakfast was great!

Everything was great except there was no microwave in the room and I had to go downstairs to warm up my food late at night

Breakfast was very good, great value. Rooms were spacious and clean. Staff were friendly and welcoming. There was lots of parking, included in my stay. I enjoyed the lemon water and iced tea in the lobby.

The A/C was too loud, but better than not having air conditioning since the weather was so hot. The music in the elevator was strangely loud.

The staff was very Friendly and helpful. The pool was the perfect size/depth for enjoying it with our toddler and it was just a nice, quiet place to spend the evening

I know this is common in a lot of hotels but the blankets just sucked. The first one was a comforter insert in between two tops sheets and when I asked for another I was handed two slightly thicker top sheets, I would just bring my own blanket next time
