Edge Hotel Washington Heights

I liked that the room and hotel was clean. I liked the location for what I was in town for, I walked there. It also had a Starbucks, McDonald’s and Taco Bell close by. The employees sealed the deal. Everyone was exceptionally nice and welcoming! No favor turned down, no frowns. It was smiles across the board. They were fantastic.

The only thing I didn’t care for was it was smaller than what I’m used to. But I will take a smaller room that was clean AND has excellent employees. The front desk staff was too legit to quit. They were beyond excellent.

Breakfast was off premises, but very good

Rooms were a bit small. More water and needs a fridge in room!

Everything was wonderful. The staff was amazing. Luis, Dominic and Eric were very helpful, professional and very informative. We liked it so much we reserved it for Thanksgiving weekend. I would recommend this hotel to anyone. Loved it.

Nothing. We have traveled all around the world from Dubai to Korea and most states in the US and this by far was the best stay we ever had. Keep doing what you are doing.

The room was very clean! The bathroom was surprisingly modern. I especially liked the set of shower necessities. I would have taken them home with me if I had room in my toiletry bag.

The lack of soundproofing. I could hear the guests in the room next (?) to me through the walls. Also, there is no way to modify the thermostat; I ended up turning it off because it was so warm and stuffy in the room.

The room was very clean. I prefer wooden floors, which our room had. Considering the very small space, both bedroom and bathroom were very well organized. I have stayed in hotels with much bigger bathrooms, but no space to put my toiletries. Having a shelf over the toilet is very sensible. I was also pleased that they gave us three towels. Nice view of the city.

Space was very tight, almost claustrophobic—not even a yardstick's worth of space on the sides or at the end of the bed. And my perpetual complaint: The closet rod was so high I could barely reach it. I am five feet tall. A lot of people are five feet tall. Please, please remember that not everyone is 6 feet 6! If the closet rod were moved down about a foot, tall and short people could use it, and there would be room for a shelf over it. Although the hotel says "complimentary breakfast," it really means a $5 coupon for Starbucks or a bagel joint. If you bring the food back to your room, there's really no place to sit and eat it. The lobby is not especially welcoming. It's too bad they couldn't have found space for a couch or a couple of arm chairs.

Luís was very welcoming, helpful, and thorough with checking us in. We loved the view, the location was great for where we needed.to be and close to the metro station so we could get anywhere else in the city. The bed was very comfortable, and the room had a Keurig which is awesome for people who need coffee before seeing other people. We will definitely stay here again on our next visit!

Check in clerk was awesome! The room was immaculate! The only issue was the that the hotel location. It was like was Ferrari dealership in Ford dealership neighbourhood. The location was perfect for the Armory track.

There was a 100% sound proofing of the walls, so there were little noises throughout the night. Other than that, I absolutely loved the whole stay.

My son lives by Columbia University. My brother lives in Washington Heights. We could walk to either location easily from The Edge. Our room was small but fine for two people gone most of the day. The shower was awesome! There is no onsite breakfast, but the vouchers to a local bagel place were much appreciated. I was very pleased with this hotel.

I wish they had bar soap for hand-washing in the bathroom. I also do not drink coffee, so hot water in the lobby for us tea drinkers would have been nice.

It was good! Gym was perfect for me. Great size. The "living room" area at C floor was great! The microwave was very helpfull. Every was very clean and nice.

I was expecting the little 2 waters every day, LOL. I heard noises at night. I thought that someone was opening my door and got scared every night,

I was so pleasantly surprised by this hotel! The staff was wonderfully attentive and thoughtful, the rooms were clean and efficient, and the bed was so comfortable (I spelt great)! Great location, too! Very comfortable, great shower, especially coming in after a late fun night. Very relaxing and private.
