Radio Hotel

We liked the location, in the heart of Washington Heights. Beautiful room with views of downtown and even LaGuardia in the distance. Surrounding neighborhood is predominately Spanish-speaking, but we had no problems communicating w/ English in the local stores. History buffs can check out Fort Washington right up the hill. Two subway lines are within walking distance of the hotel. Approximately a 25-30 minute ride to Times Square/Broadway. Parking is substantially cheaper uptown. We paid $32 a night in a garage right around the corner. Easy on/easy off (well as easy as the traffic makes it)the GW bridge/I-95 north. Great location for those of us coming from the west.

The mini fridge is tiny. Only holds a few cans of soda/bottles of water. There is no microwave in the room, so no reheating your leftovers.

1. There was no complimentary coffee, at this price point it should be expected, even cheap motels offer complimentary coffee. 2. The room only had a stool with no backrest to sit on, it was very uncomfortable to do work for a long period of time. I asked the front desk if they had a proper chair with backrest and they didn’t so I had to do all my business work on bed. 3. There is no microwave in the hotel, not even in the lobby.

Property was nice and modern. Staff were friendly

I did not like how the mirror above the sink in the room was positioned. Infact, if you are not careful you can cut your head open when washing your face, if you happen you raise your head abruptly. There is a metal bar just above the sink that is quite dangerous and considering the fact that there is no other sink in the bathroom you have to use that sink to wash your face or brush your teeth. I will suggest moving the mirror up to allow for an un impeded use of the sink and also avoid potential head injuries. I thought that was a bad design job.

bathroom had frosted glass which was see through but hopefully after talking to management they will make it more thicker so it’s not transparent as we had a double bed but because of bathroom issues one has to leave so other person could take a shower as we could see the body no good for families as you want privacy ok if you are a couple in a single room another bathroom problem no lock on door as this is the norm but I prefer a lock on my bathroom door no tea/ coffee making facilities

The location was excellent. Just walking distance from my mom's apartment. I loved the modern, stylish decor that kept in line with the music-loving neighborhood. I definitely "felt the beat" as the wall art in my room suggested. Just so happened to walk upon a silent disco party just blocks away in front of the United Palace! Was fun to watch. Loved the view from my room and the bed was so comfy. The courtyard was so lovely and nice to have our late night snack in. The staff was very friendly and I Ioved how quickly they found my reservation and how quickly we checked out.

Additional black-out window treatments would be awesome to prevent the sunlight from seeping into the room in the morning.

The staff was super nice! I was there taking the bar exam and they wished me luck and asked every day if my room was ok and if I needed anything. They also personally brought my Uber eats orders to my room and would ask if everything was ok with my room. They were insanely friendly and considerate. The room was also really clean and the way it is designed felt like a little nook, I really liked it. Overall 10/10 hotel, I never write reviews but when I was checking out there I was thought “I should leave a review, this was really a pleasant surprise!”

it was lovely, brand spanking new, super clean, lovely front desk, door attendants, restaurant receptionist. You had to use your key to get to your floor which is a nice secure measure, and a keycard you simply had to hold up to gain access to the room. Housekeepers were lovely and accommodating. Room was a studio but smartly designed. I liked that they had a refrigerator in it. They had movies on demand, and many TV channels to choose from. Beautiful view from my room.

Several of the channels froze, and the Wifi would sometimes go off. It would come back on, but—for the sake of customer satisfaction—I hope they fix that.

We enjoyed our stay at the Radio Hotel. The staff was extremely professional, knowledgeable and helpful. The restaurant attached was excellent both the food and the service. The owner or manager had a watchful eye to ensure that all met his standards and his staff reciprocated.

A freaky thing happened where the bathroom door which was a sliding door seemed to fall off the top track and my husband got stuck inside. We could not budge the door and called the front desk who sent up engineering. It took about 15 minutes as they could not lift the door back on the track and needed a specific tool. I also thought that the area rug was not ideal for the room since it was easy to stumble on. Also the parking garage is not yet finished so we needed to park our car just around the corner. It is supposed to be finished shortly.

The staff was very attentive. This was my second stay at this location and the first time I was ill and they practically guided my partner three times to assist me. What a great group of team members. PS...they remembered us when we returned a second time.

The parking was really expensive. They charged me for a truck the second time I visited this location because my car was oversized. I drive a Subaru Outback! Next time, I will drive my truck, the Beast... it's an Armada. Ya, but I expect a break on parking especially because we go out at least three times, that's three times $42.00 No bueno

The hotel was swanky and nice. It’s a total vibe. The coffee bar had great coffee and the snacks and beverages were reasonably priced and available all night. The rooms were cute. I just wish there was somewhere to get comfortable and socialize. The rooms don’t have a sitting area and there is no where to eat if you pick up food locally. There was a group of us, and although there are couches in the lobby, we had no where to really hang. Other than that, the staff was amazing and accommodating.
