Night Hotel Broadway

The AC, despite being a normal window unit, was able to cool my room to the temperature of the dwarf planet Pluto, which is always nice. The location was very close to the subway as well as a Trader Joes and a very good pizza place right around the corner. The building was quaint and had some charm. Part of the charm was everything being a little bit out of date.

I did see a couple of tiny bugs but I don't think that there is any getting around that. The water in the shower took a long time to heat up but then it was fine. As with any place in New York I did see a few unsavory types walking around and beating on trash cans and screaming but you just keep your nose down and mind your own business and you're fine. Also, unrelated, but I advise against taking bus like Peter Pan (as I did) into the city. It was the most miserable ride I have ever endured. Spend the money and take the train.

I’m very familiar with this spot —— going back to when it was “Days Inn”. Was off the premises for much of the pandemic. A lot of the people that knew us were not there… or maybe they weren’t on shift during our stay. First off .. it’s an old building. There is wear and tear. I’d like to thank Mattel… he gave me what I asked for and I got a nice King room. Had the view I wanted…Nice amenities very and very roomy. We had a nice kitchenette as well. We needed a new coffee machine because the one we had was for ground coffee… not those pod coffees. No problem … it was replaced immediately. We were happy to be back and our trip was all we wanted it to be.

Nice enough lighting … seemed kind of dim in the room

It was nice lobby and staff was help. When I didn’t like the room and asked to changed to better room. The manger was please to do so. He even had one of the staff show me three other rooms until I found one that suited me.

I have stayed at hotel on a few occasions. Even though the room was clean it could use some updating. The bathroom was outdated and the wall paper was old and peeling and the room had this smoky smell.

The room was good, the bed was nice and cozy, good air conditioning and a bathroom. The location is very well, very close to Central Park, and the hotel is between Broadway street and Amsterdam, you'll find very nice restaurants of any level, pizza, grocery store, dinners, nice coffee shops around, and with a good walk to the east, you will get to Riverside, very nice if you do not want to be close to the noisy area of Midtown and Downtown, nevertheless, you have the subway station at the next corner and get to time square in 15 minutes.

Wifi could be better.

room was cleaned and restocked with water, coffee etc every day. was reassuring to have 24h security in the hotel. proximity to subway meant it was quick and easy to travel around the city. room was big for New York standards.

air con unit was quite noisy.

it is right next to the 94th st exit out of the 96th street subway. I could see it the moment I exited from the uptown subway stop - just a half block. it was lean but all of the necessities were there - small coffee maker (or tea), air conditioner if needed, soap, shampoo and cream rinse, large flat screen TV. I could hear traffic on the fourth floor, but it wasn’t enough to disrupt my sleep.

could use more plus near the desk. one more decaf tea bag?

The location is excellent because it's right in the middle of everything right on 96th Street you have the subway the one and the two train you also have a crosstown bus so if you want to go to to the east side of Manhattan or Central Park or just want to visit the East side you can go right across plus there's a lot of restaurants to enjoy a dining experience a variety of restaurants

Can't think of anything with the exception of some homeless people around the corner on 94th and Broadway otherwise my stay there was fantastic

I found myself earlier in the week being rejected by another hotel that refused my regular Visa card from my bank. I had already booked for the Night hotel for my last night in New York after visiting my family who live north of NYC. I had a 6:15 am bus to catch. When the first hotel rejected my VISA card, the Night hotel accepted me. My former booking proved what a fine hotel Night Hotel is. Perfect in all categories! My last stay there was so pleasant.

I cannot complain! The purpose of staying in a hotel close to public transportation was securely satisfied at the Night hotel! All other necessary amenities were appreciated there also. After all. We want to relax in a hotel where the staff care about us.

Exactly according to expectation and very good location.

A "security person" (light blue uniform) followed me on the elevator to the 10th floor (I was bringing something back to the room and from the room while my party waited outside), and then back again downstairs and out the door to see who my party was. Given that we are a middle aged couple with late-teen/twenty-something children visiting for a graduation (as thousands of other parents were that week), this was rather strange behavior.

Our room including the bathroom were spotlessly clean and the bed was very comfortable. The location i.e. 3 min walk from the subway was excellent.

The common areas i.e reception, lifts, hallways were dingy and not as clean as the rooms.
