Wonderful location. Great for the athletic and outdoor sports enthusiasts. Restaurant was excellent. Service and staff were very friendly and helpful. Keep in mind this is to be a bit "rustic" as a country lodge. Meet and exceeded our expectations. Hikes to OK Slip Falls and Hudson River (9 miles) and Balm of Gilead (2 miles) are absolutely worth it. Tennis courts were decent (very hot days - and in the sun). Sports center is well stocked with equipment (kayaking, paddle board, tennis, bicycles, etc.). Was a wonderful experience.

Really not much to report here. Please expect the standard of a country lodge with all its "rustic" charms including wildlife. The private beach on Thirteen Lake is best accessed by car - it is a bit of a walk - but we did walk to the beach on our first day. Same is true of the sports center and tennis courts - easiest to get to by car but the walk is considerably shorter than the distance to the private beach. Recommend walking to the tennis courts and sports center, unlike the beach.

Location is beautiful, the lodge is special and rusty, views are amazing, great service and customer experience

Though it is really a wonderful place and we had a great and enjoyable experience, Recommend to improve the following: 1. Breakfast - should implement some variations and add breads, cheese etc. 2. Consider including rooms cleaning and changes of linen/ towels may be changed by staff rather than by guests ( Covid residual practices)

Breakfast was wonderful, anything I could possibly want! With the bonus of having the ability to create a packed lunch as well! Most people are going hiking, canoeing etc, so this is very thoughtful! Our bathroom was brand new with lux Beekman 1802 bath products, I enjoyed them very much. The view is stunning, next time we will ask for a room w/ a balcony, which is a bit larger. The serenity & peace of this area is wonderful, ALL of the staff bent over backwards to make sure we were happy.

The lodge is from the 1930's so our room was quite small, it took a little time to get used to, we were supplied w/ extra tv tray tables which did help out quite a bit. There was no TV, microwave or fridge, as I am used to having at my other hotel stays, but I quickly realized they weren't as necessary as I thought. The bathroom was beautiful & new but again no place to put anything down, I was able to work around it by putting a tv tray table in there as well.

we loved the complimentary breakfast in the morning! it was nice quality food and coffee. the location is far from a big town so plan accordingly, but it’s so refreshing to be in nature. we kayaked using the complimentary kayaks and mined some garnets next to the abandoned garnet mine down the road. the experience was super unique especially with the fall leaves. staff were so generous and friendly and everything was clean!

the doors in the lodge only had one lock. I would add a protection lock on the inside of each of the rooms.

Breakfast was very good, however it was the same for 3 days and it became boring on the third day. I wish the breakfast to be slightly different day to day. I loved the location, the fire place, and that smores were provided; I enjoyed the restaurant food and the reception services . We loved access to the tennis court and kayaks and I loved the fact that we were allowed to return paddles after the rental place was closed. The rental person was very accommodating.

Unfortunately, we have objections to the cleanliness of our room as we found hair on a pillow on both sides and hair on a sheet and had to use car blanket and car pillow for the first night until we requested new sheet and pillow covers. So, it looked like the bed was not changed and it was just very gross. I wish the property addressed our complaint with more care. Otherwise everything was amazing.

Gorgeous lodge on small mountain, with extensive grounds, lake and hiking trails. Excellent restaurant. Decor refined, aesthetically simple but very carefully planned. Very low-key place with excellent well trained support staff, near hiking trails. One big drawback: While the wifi is fine, there is no cellphone service. And it is a good 20 minute drive to the nearest town for amenities. Restaurant at hotel is fine and serves 3 meals a day. Rooms newly refurbished and very comfortable, some with blaconies overlooking the lake. The lake is fantastic swimming, with attendant. - good for families and swimmers of all stripes. Water a bit cold but that's the Adirondacks! and it wasn't bad. Separate facility has mountain bikes and boats available for guests (Free)

Cellphone service lacking. Big drawback. Also, it would be great to have a dryer available for guests to dry off bathing suits and wet clothes. or at least a line to hang clothes in the bathroom. Bathroom sinks in rooms are small (but not a big deal)

Second time here this year. Gorgeous location, off the beaten path, beautiful views. Enjoyed kayaking on the lake, stargazing, and the garnet mine! Also loved the bartender (can't remember her name, but she served us on a Monday and Wednesday night. A+ service!!)

Room could use a bit of an update, but not a big deal since most time was spent outside or in the main lodge anyway :)

Spacious room, sauna, pool biljart, breakfast buffet and take out lunch. Free kayaks.

We had to make the 3th bed ourselves. Expensive for what you get. No veg and fish options anymore at the restaurant.

Location with view. Wait staff in restaurant. Excellent food! Great breakfasts. Ate six meals in restaurant.

Rented least expensive room, ended up above kitchen, no easy way to ventilate room w/o noisy window a/c. Room was small, but otherwise satisfactory. Maintenance had not installed screen on bathroom window and had not sealed around window a/c unit. Screen was installed at our request.

Beautiful place located in the middle of the woods. Feels like a cozy cottage in the Alps with a nice warming fireplace. You can enjoy amazing views from the balcony rooms in the Log House. Cross country skiing slopes and hiking trails right in front of the door. Very friendly staff and great breakfast. Comfortable bed and newly renovated bathroom with a nice hot shower.

Unfortunately the restaurant in the Log House was closed for renovation and most restaurants in town were closed, too. Only place to get a warm meal was at the Pub at ski center, which is a short walk downhill from the Log House. The food was very good. Having gone off-season, none of the included perks, such as kayaking (too cold) or cross country skiing (no snow yet) were available.
