1898 Waverly Inn

We wanted to visit downtown Hendersonville and the Waverly Inn was within walking distance. The Waverly is a nice bed and breakfast inn. The staff was very friendly. We especially enjoyed the social in the late afternoon from 5-6 and the breakfast was wonderful! Thank you for offering turkey bacon! Most places only serve pork products. Hope to see you next year.

Maybe some cookies or pastries in the evening for snacking.

The place is historic, but that doesn’t mean it can’t be feeling clean and fresh. It is overall feeling dated, and the wall to wall carpeting was a real turn off for me. This is my personal issue - I think it is unsanitary.

The breakfasts and servers were delightful and always served right on time! The location couldn't have been better and the hosts were wonderful and so accommodating! There was plenty of parking space. The bedroom was very clean and pleasantly furnished with beautiful, antique furniture and comfortable linens. The bed was firm, but very comfortable. We really enjoyed the parlor area and being treated to a cocktail each evening, as well as the game room where you had a choice of games and videos that you could watch. We also really enjoyed being able to chat with other guests. A very pleasant stay!

Our bathroom was extremely small. The website showed really updated bathrooms but ours was not.

Fabulous and welcoming!!! The hosts made us feel like family. The hospitality was superb… it was comfortable and truly like a visit in a gracious home.

Everything was perfect! comfortable bed and good food. The hosts had a great selection of beer and wine… and our family was able to gather and talk in the lovely parlours on the first floor. I will definitely return again!!

The staff was friendly and very helpful. The food was wonderful. We enjoyed the wine and cheese in the afternoons. The location was perfect for us.

There was nothing I didn't like. We could have gotten a larger room, but we didn't want to spend the extra money. We didn't find the bed nor the pillows comfortable, and the bathroom was small. It was a wonderful value, however. So, we hope to go back and ask for a larger room.

The welcome was warm, accompanied by wine for me, beer for my husband. The bed was comfortable, the room was cozy, the bathroom was small but quite adequate. The included breakfast was exceptional.

Can't think of a thing. We needed a comfortable room on our way back home. The inn provided it.

Very historic! loved all the antiques and the history of this bed and breakfast Owners and Staff were so friendly too! Great complimentary breakfast!!

Could not stay long enough! We walked to a nice restaurant for supper. One night was not enough. Plan to go back in September for our anniversary

Breakfast was excellent. Location was good in terms of being very close to downtown attractions, but the heavy traffic on Main Street in front of the Inn was very annoying at times.

Traffic on street in front of the Inn was heavy and annoying at times. Rooms were small and had little room to move around. We didn't like the music on Wednesday evening The crowd and the fact that the musicians were in front of the main entrance made it hard to come and go. There was also too little parking in front of the Inn.

It's welcoming and extremely comfortable. Truly more like going home where you can unwind. Tracy and Mike and their family really have epitomized what hospitality is all about. Sitting on the front porch with them, their dog Daisy and the other guests is something I will never forget!

Nothing-it was perfect!

We have stayed here previously and loved it. One extra they have is a top notch breakfast which we love. I really enjoy a home cooked hot breakfast to start my day. Location is perfect for a walk to restaurants which I really enjoy. Also really appreciate hot coffee available 24 hours I’m a big coffee drinker.

One thing I would like is to be able to do is crack open a window when I sleep however this feature seems to be less and less available everywhere. So it is not a problem.
