Scottish Inn Maggie Valley

The location was great. It was quiet and comfortable. While this is an older property, it was clean, spacious, and comfortable. We were able to bring our 2 dogs for a reasonable fee. The rockers outside the rooms were nice for enjoying some fresh air. There is a creek that runs behind the property and it is so relaxing to go back there and listen to the water running over the rocks. We would definitely book here again.

I Have no negative comments about this place. The only thing I noticed was that needed attention was the ceiling, where paint was peeling in a couple of places. Again, it's an older location. Not sure if popcorn ceiling might be an option.

This is what you should expect in a budget motel -- clean, decent room, pleasant staff, good location at a fair price. It's not at all fancy -- small fridge, tiny microwave, single comfortable chair, no closet -- but for the price it was fine. The owners seem like very nice folks, caring and friendly.

I knew breakfast was not included, but even coffee seemed to be a stretch (and what was offered was too weak). Single-serve coffee makers would be a solution, I was kept awake much of one night by rude, noisy idiots in the room next to me, which isn't management's fault, but it underscored how thin the walls are.

The staff and owners are excellent. The rooms are very nice and plenty of room. Also very clean and no problem with any supplies needed. It is very quiet here and a great location. Very good rates and great people who own and work here we always stay here when we come up. And there is always someone available day or night. Great place to stay and very private and quiet place!!!! We love staying here!!!

Everything was absolutely amazing here...even better then the last visit a few weeks ago.

I stayed here a few weeks ago..as I am a local and my propane ran out and I have a little one...the lady during my first visit was such a sweetheart about letting me stay..but this visit the lady talked to me like I was some kind of weirdo for needing to stay...and also charged me a $100 deposit which wasn't a big deal because I got it back...I just feel as if she should of been more welcoming. Which I don't believe she is part of the family that owns it because they have always been super sweet to me.

The room was very spacious and you could tell have been renovated fairly recently. The staff was friendly. Good location for us to easily commute to Cherokee, Gatlinburg and Pigeon Forge for the day.

The overwhelming scent in the lobby area, smelled like incense. It wasn't a bad smell, but for those who are sensitive to strong smells it would definitely be a problem. And the pillows were terrible, very thin!

Great location. Easy to get into & out of. Friendly & helpful staff. Very clean rooms with comfortable beds. Bathroom very clean.

This hotel does not look like much from the outside and can certainly use some curb appeal. However the rooms are extremely neat and clean and the beds are comfortable. If you're looking for an extravagant fancy hotel this is not it, if you're looking for a neat, clean, affordable hotel near Maggie Valley this is it!

It is a older motel. But it has been renovated. Nice roomie parking spaces right outside your door. Each room had a couple rocking chairs out front to set and enjoy the outdoors. Very comfortable stay.

Bathroom was small and tv was kinda small. Mattress was hard.

Traveling for work so the location was perfect. The room was clean. Staff was friendly enough. The manager was great.

We had the room right beside the "electrical room" so there was a constant humming which is horrible if you have sensory issues.

We stayed for 2 nights. Clean rooms, great location, beautiful view of mountains on front side and a beautiful raging creek in back. I have to say that the beds were so comfortable and it was a peaceful place to stay. When I come back I do plan on staying here again. Thank you!
