Travelowes Motel - Maggie Valley

A very clean and basic motel. Great location in the middle of the town. The shower had good pressure. There was a fridge and microwave. Free wifi and lots of tv channels. The young man who checked us in was very friendly.

The beds were very firm. The room was a bit noisy due to it’s proximity to the main drag but it was a busy Friday night so it might not be an issue at other times. There were people smoking on the porch next door and even though the rooms were smoke free, it still smelled smoky while they were out there. I don’t blame the motel though.

the housekeeper was super nice and did her job very well.. very quiet , great location , rooms were really clean and had a great Bathroom . chairs outside doors to sit was a plus.. windows open also a plus I like a breeze at night. my first “motel” instead of hotel and it was amazing truly .

Very clean. Staff was very friendly. The location was beautiful. Rockers were a plus until someone lit a cigarette up. Nice to sit outside & look at mountains. The breakfast place across the road was convenient. Walking distance to local putt putt which was great

The bathroom was super tiny. One of rhe lights at the nightstand wouldn't turn on so i pulled the cord towards me to see if it was even plugged up, & the entire cord had been cut & the end was missing. Not enough outlets near bed. HATED the buckets & buckets of cigarettes that were along the porch & rockers. Should habe a desigated area for smokers & if not keep buckets emptied

I really enjoyed the cleanliness of the room. When we walked in it smelled fresh and clean. The bed was fresh, big, and super comfortable. Usually I skeptical to sit on the toilet and step into the shower but, not here. You could tell the staff take there time cleaning the rooms and it's noticeable. And to top it off, you open your curtains and you have an amazing view of Maggie valley.

There isn't anything I can say that I didn't like.

This property is easily located in Maggie Valley. The staff is exceptionally customer service oriented. The room was immaculate. The bed super comfortable. Parking is right in front of the room. The rocking chairs on the front porch were a nice touch! Pet friendly!!!

It is a bit dated, but honestly still a wonderful place. 10/10 will book again.

The motel is in a great location in Maggie Valley. We rode our Harley from SC to stay two nights, and ride around and check out the beautiful leaves. We were gone most of both days, just showered and slept. But it was clean and comfortable and would stay here again.

It was a nice place to stay while we were in town for the Hillbilly Winter Jam. Not too far from the venue, clean room and comfy bed. Loved the rocking chairs outside the rooms as well!

No complaints! Maybe a snack vending machine as a suggestion.

Honestly I stay here all the time and I love it. I think the only thing ppl need to know it is very noisy when Maggie Valley's season is open. Lot's of traffic, motorcycles, slingshots, and folks like to sit outside and talk and smoke. I used to smoke, quit 33 years ago. So I understand. But it can be awkward walking through the smoke and having strangers sitting right infront of your picture window lol I just asked the guys if they could move down by their rooms and to take my rocker, they were super nice.

I needed to find another motel/hotel for my visitors. They stayed at one hotel and two other motels prior to staying at the Travelowes. They stayed at the Travelowes from February 14th- March 9th and have loved it. The cleanest, most comfortable, and wonderful staff. I did not stay here, but got a chance to see their room. Very nice.

It's a nice little spot . Me and my husband usually stay here when we head to the mtns.

The room seemed smaller in the 2 story part than the ones along where the office is.. would be nice to have a pool cleaning net at the pool to clean out dead bugs and etc before swimming.
