The hotel is tucked away from the road, conveniently located not far from the southern entrance of Great Smoky Mountains National Park. It is a small, older, retro "motor lodge" of days gone by that has been updated with modern conveniences like a TV with many channels, mini fridge, microwave, and WiFi. The decor is awesome, right down to the pink tile in the bathroom which appeared to be original. It is not fancy by modern hotel standards, nor is it super spacious or loaded with extras, but it is clean, comfortable, safe and quiet. You park right outside your door. We LOVED it and felt like we stepped back in time, like we should have brought the 1955 Olds 88 on our trip instead of the Kia Soul. Highly recommend!

Nothing.

The owner worked with us when our pet made noise that bothered the neighbors, and the rest of our stay was blessedly uneventful. They communicated well when we asked for a replacement invoice, too, and were prompt about responding. LOVED the retro feel of the place including decorating and accessories. :)

VERY MINOR! The chairs they had in the room for the small table were bent, so were not quite as comfortable as they might have been. Nice retro design, tho. ;)

I loved everything. The owner is probably the most humble man I’ve seen run a motel/lodge. The INN is located on the best road in Maggie Valley, if you request the creek or mountain side, you wouldn’t be disappointed either way. I would recommend this place over any cabin or any lodge Maggie valley could offer you. I’ve never stayed in such a pleasant hotel before like the Route 19 INN. The man Eric who runs the place deserves every human to come stay at his lodge. I’ve traveled a lot and have stayed in a lot of hotels and nothing compares to what this place offers you. I hope to continue to come back and stay here.

I have nothing bad to say at all , everything was perfect. Even with my bad behavior, because I’m young and acted out of line, i have nothing bad to say about this place at all. it’s completely perfect and they deserve the best rating any hotel could receive.

Really cute retro decor, but with all the upgrades you need ie.. Wi-Fi Great location, quiet and right on Johnathon Creek. The owners put a lot of thought into fixing the place up. Not an easy task. Stayed at a BandB last trip. The list of things you had to do before departure was ridiculous, considering we were paying for staying there. Had to strip the bed, put towels in one place, empty the garbage, put new toilet paper on roll if necessary, clean the shower and the door mop floor, clean all dishes and put away and clean out refrigerator. So that’s why I looked for something better and found it at Route 19 Inn. Watch they video it shows how nice it is. Great owners too.

Bathroom sink is retro tiny, but the shower is very roomy.

Cool, retro style and vibe in every detail. From the 45 records in the bathroom to the mini red frigidaire and vintage Smokies posters, it was a fun blast from the past. The creekside balcony was a little piece of Heaven, and I enjoyed sitting out there with my Husband. A WONDERFUL way to celebrate our wedding anniversary! The hotel owner and his son were also very friendly and accommodating. Would definitely stay there again, and highly recommend it to my friends, family and fellow travelers! 😊

Weak wi-fi and no lighting over table.

We loved the suite we stayed in. The creek ran right in front of our room. I perhaps thought from the pictures we saw online that there was right out of room access to the creek but we had to walk around the building to get there. ( This was only an issue because I just had a hip replacement and was expecting an easier route to the creek for me.} The motel was a charming 50's deco.

Now about the town... Most of it is closed on Mondays. Its a very sleepy town, I think the biggest attraction is fly fishing. There are VERY limited restaurants in Maggie Valley We had to Waynesville eat and the restaurants there were either were not opened or had limited menus due to staffing. Cherokee could have been a tourist option but the town is so run down and unkept that we just road through it. Very Disappointed. We will not return to this area!

Fantastic retro inn!!! Friendly staff and great atmosphere!! I was in love with the whole playground area and photo opportunity areas. Several picnic areas if you want to eat outside. Great location especially for the fall. All the beautiful mountains around you. The bed was so comfortable and pillows too. The rooms are adorable and love the bathrooms!!! Don't change that tile! It's fantastic! It was fall so we couldn't use the pool but glad they offer that for in the summer. Also several tables to sit outside. Great place!!

Nothing to not like. Can't complain about anything.

I always love this great classic inn! It's in the most beautiful location in Maggie Valley! With two peaceful creeks right on the property! The owners Eric & Angie are super nice people! This time my room was not by the creek, but it was still wonderful! The room and bathroom was nice & clean, with great decor! The bed was very comfortable too! Amazing sightseeing, including the Blue Ridge Parkway just a short drive up Route 19! Looking forward to coming back again! Thanks! 😊

Didn't get much sleep! I could hear the people next door talking all night long! ☹️

Route 19 was adorable. It is definitely a vibe. The room was small but so clean. I love how they played up the property's older features to fit the overall theme instead of completely renovating. The bed was very comfortable as well. Check-in was a breeze and the agent who assisted was so nice and helpful (did not catch her name but it was her mother's bday recently!).

It didn't affect me but the bathrooms are small but that's to be expected for an older property that embraces its retro charm :)

Lovely motel in a beatiful location, with lots of character. The room was comfortable and clean. Compared to some of the other hotels we stayed in during our trip, the room was a bit on the tight side, but I will definitely stay there again if I have the opportunity. Parking right in front of room.

This is no reflection on the motel itself, but we stayed there on a public holiday and dinner options that particular day were thin on the ground. We ended up with Subway in the next town over, whilst I would have preferred a local restaurant nearbly. Alas, we could not find one that was open that day.
