Wingate by Wyndham St. Clairsville/Wheeling

It was close but far enough away. Night front desk staff ( young woman with braces) was very sweet and welcoming. Room was very nicely appointed and the bed and pillows were phenomenal. Breakfast was pretty above and beyond. Very clean and well kept hotel.

The only thing I would change at all would be heating up the pool a little more and keeping it kid free after 8pm. I don’t mind kids I just don’t want them anywhere around me EVER, especially when I’ve had a long day and want to relax in the hot tub at 10 pm I shouldn’t be getting splashed with cold pool water from the dozen kids running amuck and jumping in and out of the pool.

Clean facilities, nice location, comfy beds, good selection for breakfast. Pool and hot tub were clean and didn't smell over chlorinated. Overall room was spacious and clean. Would stay again if in area.

Night staff obviously overwhelmed with number of people coming in after tournaments to check in even though they were informed well before hand the groups would be checked in fairly late. Were rude when asked a simple question. But afternoon and morning staff extremely friendly even with vast number of check outs happening fairly quickly. Would just say night staff needs to be trained a bit more for large check ins.

Check-in was very quick and easy. We arrived early after a 5 hrs + drive and got right in the room, which was a great relief. The restaurant/ bar attached to the hotel was a plus. The hotel did offer breakfast. We just grabbed coffee and fruit due to very early departure time. However, there were waffles, bagels with cheese and bacon melted on them, hard boiled eggs, cereal, yogurt, breads, muffins, juice.

There was no outdoor seating area. It was a beautiful day and it would have been nice to sit outside and enjoy without having to get back in the car.

The location is excellent - near area restaurants and shopping yet separated from the “noise” and hustle / bustle. A very nice indoor pool and hot tub was a plus and breakfast was greAt with make your iwn waffles and pancakes plus hot choices daily (eggs and sausage or biscuits and gravy, for example). The staff that I met were very helpful and friendly.

We could have used more room for suitcases and a foldout couch we had 3 children and 2 adults so we had to use a blow up mattress to accommodate our group. The choice of a suite would be helpful. There are none in the area

This hotel was fantastic - it is one of the best values for the money I've every gotten. It exceeded all of my expectations. I am always concerned when I have to book a stay the same day I'm traveling, since you can only do so much research and really have to rely on the ratings. But this hotel was fantastic. I booked two rooms a few hours before arriving. I was on a road trip with three older teens and realized I was too tired to continue driving all the way to our destination that night. The hotel was bright and clean and felt much more upscale than many three star hotels I've stayed in. And the staff was very accommodating when I asked for two rooms together on an upper floor. The rooms were clean and the finishes were high-end. I especially love that the lobby was big and open, there were glass doors on the showers (no bowed shower curtain, thank goodness!), and my teens loved the complimentary breakfast. Book it - you won't regret it!

So I pretty much loved everything about this hotel, but I know I'm supposed to recommend something. If I had to make one thing to improve, I'm very tall and the toilet was a little lower than I prefer. Which was actually a little weird, because the bathroom vanity did seem taller than normal, which was wonderful.

As soon as I walked into the moment I left the staff was very friendly and greeted my family accordingly. My children woke up early and swim in a nice, clean warm, comfortable environment after swimming we were able to get breakfast and hit the road this facility exceeded all my expectations and the next time we pass through we will consider stopping just because of how friendly and clean and respectable to staff was

The room and lobby and breakfast area were remarkably clean. It is evident that the staff takes pride in their operation. The bed was comfortable. We also like the easy access to a good restaurant and bar on the same property.

The room is not very soundproof. Fortunately, on this stay, the people staying near us were quiet but we have been bothered by noisy neighbors on previous stays

Desk attendant upon arrival was very nice. I have 2 kids and they were all over, she was patient and offered a lollipop, even offered to hold my little one while filling put my paper. She was wonderful. Rooms were beautiful, clean and comfortable and provided breakfast was also great and a good variety of choice, hot and cold.

Only thing I didnt like, but the issue would vary by person, is the room we were in didn't have a door block to keep from it being opened (2 year old loves to explore) compared to my family members room that had it. We managed but would have been nice to have it in our room as well. Otherwise. Nothing negative to say.

The hotel and staff was excellent! I can not say the same about my Booking reservation. The hotel could not get me checked in because of something on Bookings end. Wanted to cancell and go thru the Hotel! Called Booking a very rude man not helpful,the clerk at the desk explained to him what was happening and he would not listen!

The facility was clean and front desk was amazing. I love how they paired our team into the same location. They were very happy, friendly, and resourceful staff.

The kitchen staff was incredibly rude. we were preparing for a game and early take off. I stepped out to grab breakfast and tried to get breakfast for a friend who was in the shower and preparing to leave. A kitchen staff began grabbing the food and not allowing me to finish getting breakfast. We came out earlier that morning and breakfast had not been placed out yet. There were many teams coming out, so I came when I thought it had cleared out a bit. She told me she didn’t care it was 10:00. Other than that, everything was perfect.
