Microtel Inn & Suites by Wyndham Wheeling at The Highlands

The breakfast was great! Much better than any other continental breakfast considering the price of the room! The whole place smelled great. Our room smelled good and clean with no chemical or cleaner smells. It was quite and comfortable with a great view and we loved that the Texas Roadhouse was right next door and the hotel was right there with all of the shopping available and close to downtown Wheeling! The staff were excellent and so kind and helpful!

The only thing that could have been better was the shower head. The water was kind of spraying all over the place but considering everything else that was easy to deal with!

easy on and off access , staff friendly and professional. you could tell it was a clean property when you walk in. ( I look around on the floor😊)Room was clean and didn’t smell like overpowering cleaner and not musty. Bathroom very clean. you could tell the sheets were of better quality and clean and bed and pillows very comfortable .

Staff is always friendly and willing to help! Great location and good food around, and rooms aren't crazy expensive like some other hotels would be.

I've stayed here at least three times already and the only issue I've ever had was this most recent trip. Room seemed a little dirty, but once I notified the (Very kind) lady at the reception desk, she came up, checked it out, said the room could indeed use a clean, and got us into a nice and clean room.

The location is great, and the staff was wonderful, and a nice hot breakfastis always a plus. The place was clean for the most part, a little outdated but good for the price. No problems really other than the bed sheets.

The bed sheets had multiple brown stains that looked like (use your imagination). Had to pull it off and use a big blanket as a sheet. Was already ready for bed and exhausted.

Friendly and helpful staff. Room was very neat and clean. Breakfast was free and available for a reasonable amount of time. Quiet area except for occasional semi truck. Hotel close to shopping area and many restaurants.

I was in a first floor room and the walls and ceiling of these rooms are thin. I could hear other people’s conversations, people using the bathroom, and the pounding of footsteps across the ceiling of my room. Also, due to coronavirus the individual coffee pots in the rooms are still not available, although there is a tea and coffee machine in the lobby.

This is very good location, Everything is nearby, all shops complexes for children, cinema hall, sports complex))) A very kind of breakfast))) the children were satisfied)))

The only thing I didn't like was that the carpet looked like dirty... Well, for the family, there was only 1 shampoo..... Of course we could have asked, but I didn't want to ask for anything to go))))

The location is just right for our travels to Annapolis to visit family - half way. The desk staff was outstanding and went out of their way to accommodate our needs. The room met our needs, though we prefer a suite.

A night light option in the bathroom would have been helpful, though I carry a small one with me when I travel so I won't have to turn on the overhead lights in the middle of the night.

The property was beautiful inside and out.. the staff (grant at the front desk) was wonderful, helpful, and very very accommodating and personable. The bed was the most comfortable bed I’ve ever slept in at a hotel. I wanted to stay another night or was such a great place who allowed my dog and we’re ok with me taking up 6 parking spaces bcuz I was driving a huge moving truck and towing my jeep behind me

I wish there was a pool there.. if u had a pool I would definitely had stayed another night

The receptionist was very friendly, especially considering the crazy weather that night. The room and bathroom were very clean - they looked brand new! Overall, quiet and very comfortable.

The air conditioner/heater unit was pretty loud when it kicked on, but it kept me warm so no real complaints there. The only thing that didn’t look super clean was the duvet cover - it just looked a bit worn and slightly yellowed in places, like what just happens to white bedding when it gets used and washed over and over again. Otherwise, the sheets, pillow cases, and the rest of the room were immaculate.

The front desk was amazing. There was a complaint before me and she handled it was grace poise and professionalism. And then took my check in as if she just received great compliments. Takes an amazing person to be so graceful. And the whole place smelled clean and sanitized. The room was immaculate! Highly impressed!!

Nothing we had an amazing stay. Whole place was clean and accommodating.
