Best Western Plus Franciscan Square Inn & Suites Steubenville

The room was quite large and comfortable. The staff including the GM David was very friendly and helpful. Overall I and my family were comfortable during our stay.

No room service. Breakfast is non existent, very poor. During my full stay I never had breakfast even though it was included in my room rate. Considering the price I paid I was expecting some complementary bottled water but this was not the case. I had to purchase water every time from the front office. Other than the room and staff there is not much to compliment or comment on this property. This was the closest hotel to my destination which was the Franciscan University so I used this property.

This may seem particular to me but I didn’t like the layout of the bathroom. The door when it was closed concealed the bathroom (which is obviously fine when in use but a safety concern if the room has been vacated for an extended period of time) and when it was open it blocked the main door and hallway. I’ve seen other hotels use a sliding door instead. Also there was no ventilation in bathroom and other patrons were loud and messy

I loved everything about the hotel from the time I walked in to the pool area, workout area, dining area, breakfast area , lounge area, my room was nice and clean and fresh , I was NOT expecting it to be this nice but I am so glad ! The breakfast was so good and the staff was pleasant.

I didn’t like that the bathroom shower didn’t have the shower closed in, there was no sliding door so water would run out the shower

It was a good location for our needs and the facility was pretty nice. the breakfast was decent and typical and the breakfast attendant was great. All staff were great actually

The bed pillows were absolutely terrible and we actually went and bought some for our stay. The room’s carpet was pretty stained and dirty looking so I didn’t feel comfortable being barefoot in the room. Also, the scent being pumped in the lobby was way too strong and overwhelming

The staff was all amazing! Due to severe snow storm in path of home we had to extend our stay but a night. They matched the rate i had been paying and were both helpful and friendly. the housekeeping staff were so welcoming and helpful any time we needed anything. would def recommend and/or stay again.

none of us liked the breakfast that was offered. while the eating area was nice and offered several options none of them were very good.

Breakfast was very good. The staff was very helpful and conversational. Location was a plus and a minus- the hotel is across the street from Franciscan University. I strongly recommend a walk through the campus.

The minus is the limited choices for dining nearby. Also, although this is a Best Western, the BW appears nowhere on the sign! It was called "The Inn on Franciscan Square"...

The location and staff where great. The room was clean and had a modern decor. Great breakfast and good coffee bar.The location of the hotel to the restaurants was great. We enjoyed our stay and wouldn't hesitate to return. Thanks Santos and Doug Zgonc.

Take the frig out of the cabinet. It was hard to get the door open.

Hotel was beautiful, great staff, amenities were fantastic. Breakfast buffet was a plus. Pool was clean and not crowded whatsoever.

Beds were VERY loud and made sleeping thru the night almost impossible. As soon as my 8yr old old moved or turned, the bedsprings were so noisy and creaky.

The room was updated, very nice. Bathroom was beautifully done.

Wish there was fresh fruit salad for breakfast. The only egg option was covered in cheese. Dairy is the most common food that needs to be eliminated from diets. I wish there were dairy free options.

The facilities and the pool were awesome! I enjoyed the availability of coffee in the lobby.

The staff was informative but not friendly. The male manager was nice but the females were cold and not approachable. It's hard to ask for help around the facility when staff acts like they are bothered when you need assistance. Food lady was nice! We also had a suite and our fold out couch was broken so we couldn't use it and we all had to sleep in the same bed
