Jupiter Hotel

Very cool and affordable place to stay! The staff was great and we love this part of Portland. Not downtown but lots of great restaurants. We ate at Hey Love (the Jupiter Next lounge). There is a great outdoor patio area in the courtyard with a gas fireplace and tiki umbrellas. The people we interacted with were really nice and helpful. Great brewpub across the street and so many food options in the immediate area, even very late at night. We will definitely stay again.

We were sort of neutral about the window A/C unit. Kept the room cool on a warm evening but a little noisy for sleeping.

Very cool hotel. Nice and clean in a great location. Well stocked mini bar with totally reasonable prices. I stayed here for five nights for a conference with two other colleagues. The beds were comfortable and the shower was amazing! Lots of great bars and restaurants to check out nearby.

I’m just bummed that so many hotels have forgone in-room coffee and tea. My bar is always low for that stuff but I really appreciate having some coffee in private while getting ready to face the world.

Pleasant staff, great location right next to Doug Fir lounge. Room was as expected, no frills but clean and surprisingly quiet even despite being right next to the outdoor area with fire pit for the lounge. I found the bed and pillows exceptionally comfortable, firm mattress and four pillows so I could squish or fluff them however I needed.

Being on the first floor, footsteps above were noisy and easily heard. Good thing I brought my own earplugs, if you're a light sleeper beware!

I was stuck for transport on the morning of Tues 6th December. Taxis didn't turn up, there were no Ubers available, the local train station was a long walk and I had an Amtrak train to catch back to Canada and a connecting flight. I was extremely panicked and the young man on the desk patiently helped me through registering for a LYFT account, ordering a ride and I caught my train just in time. I was enormously grateful to him.

A microwave in the room would have been good.

The room and restaurant were great.

Room wasn’t ready until close to 5:00 so we had to wait in the bar with our luggage until it was ready. The hostess wasn’t very friendly or accommodating. Our room was on the 3rd floor and there was definitely a party going on the 4th floor above us. Will stay again but only on the top floor.

This is our second stay at the Jupiter. We love that it is so close to the Doug Fir Lounge. We stay at the Jupiter when we come to Portland for concerts there. The staff is always friendly and the location is perfect.

Our only dissatisfaction this time was a group of guests on Harleys that had no concern for other guests. They were revving their motors at 12:30 am which was disrespectful for the rest of us that might choose to be asleep at that time.

We stayed at the Jupiter Original which had a more old school motel vibe. The room was on the smaller side, but very comfy and a great home base for exploring Burnside. Great restaurants in walking distance, and the bar at the Jupiter Next (next door) was a great place to grab a drink! Douglas Fir looked like it had great live music too!

The Douglas Fir was a little loud. We didn’t mind, but for light sleepers that could be an issue.

Great location! Walking distance to many bars, restaurants, and venues. Cute boutique rooms, comfy bed and linens. Doug Fir was a great place to finish off the night before heading up to our room. Black out shades were great! Was surprisingly quiet.

Rooms are a little on the small side, but was perfect for what we needed. Finding parking just to get checked in was a bit confusing.

The hotel was in a nice location. It was easy to walk to various locations. The hotel has a nice patio area with seating. It was clean. The hotel room was quiet. The staff were very friendly.

Figuring out where to park to check in at the front desk was confusing. There was no fridge or microwave in the room. Room was pretty small.

The location is great. Art and murals are awesome. Coffee in the morning was good!

There was construction right outside the room. The fan did not smell good. When the heater was turned the smell diminished. I think it was the construction work that caused the smell. The vending machine was not working! Some neat stuff in there though.
