Fireside Motel

Though a pet-friendly motel, with a barking dog outside, the room was well constructed so that outside noises were kept outside. The ocean view from the deck was gorgeous. Nice selection on cable tv, well stocked towels and toiletries and comfortable bed. All around 5 stars and 2 thumbs up. Easy walk to Adobe Resort for a delicious dinner. Definitely plan to stay again.

Would have been cheaper to make the reservation directly through the motel, instead of Booking.com (missed out on 10% AARP/AAA discount).

One of the nicest places I've ever stayed at! Didn't want to leave. Although there was no fireplace in our room we did have a decent ocean view. The grounds are so lovely! Very well tended to. Also, the buildings are not right next to Hyw. 101 but at the end of a long driveway close to the ocean. Very easy to get to the beach. Room was quiet during the night. Easy check in and very pleasant staff. It was an easy drive into town for restaurants. Lots of nice touches in the room. We stayed in Coos Bay, Yachats, and Lincoln City. The Fireside was hands down the best!

Had I known ahead of time I would have asked for a room as far from the stairs as possible. Our room was at the top of the stairs and there were lots of people walking past the room on the way to the beach or their cars. But it wasn't a serious problem at all.

We did not have a room with a view but this place is right on the water. You can still see the ocean from the parking lot. We were able to actually walk down on the rocks to get beautiful pictures of the sunset. Our room was very clean. There was a tv, alarm clock, mini fridge and coffee pot in the room. They provide in the room regular and decaf coffee as well as tea. The bathroom had a heater in it that you turned on. The water pressure was great and temperature of shower was great. The beds were firm but not too firm, we all got a good nights rest. I actually slept nine hours and hadn’t done that in a long time. We did hear people next door coughing but couldn’t hear full conversations. We had our teenage son with us and so our room had a full size and a twin bed. My son is 5’11 and thin, he was very comfortable on the twin. I personally didn’t spend much time in the lobby but they did have a gift shop. There wasn’t any breakfast due to COVID but I knew that before booking our room.

Hearing people in the room next door. But that won’t keep us from staying again.

Love the location, the room & gift shop. We’ve stayed at the hotel next door the past few years but now want to stay here going forward! Staff & lobby coffee was also fantastic.

Everything was fantastic except our room was very warm (no AC) but we solved it by keeping the window open & shades shut while we were out during the day. Second story room.

Friendly, professional staff. Clean, quiet, comfortable accommodations with abundant in-room amenities. Gift shop with food and beverages to purchase for in-room consumption. (No need to leave premises!) Benches to lounge ocean-side; historic walking path along the shoreline - short walk to town or beach. Love that they have a horseshoe pit!

The motel is steps away from the ocean. Walking the pathway, walking down to the water, watching the sunsets - all wonderful. I had my little dog with me, and the room was great. Sometimes rooms that are carpeted and allow pets are ... fragrant. Our room was fresh and spotless. And comfortable. It was a wonderful stay.

The location was so beautiful, right on the coast line. Very close to cool things like Thor's Well. Very friendly staff. Very accommodating to service dogs and pets. Cute little gift shop. The room was big and clean. The bed was comfortable.

The room was on the warm side and we were not able to adjust the temperature to make it more comfortable.

great location …fabulous views of the beach

not really a negative but my husband hurt his leg when he bumped it on a piece of metal sticking out from the side of the bed. it wasn’t a serious injury, but it was pretty painful, causing some grazing and bruising….however, we mentioned it to the reception staff and they immediately acted to have it sorted out…we were impressed with their care and concern…so it was dealt with in a positive way.

This was our 1st stay at Fireside Motel. We have had 2 or 3 stays on the Oregon coast every year for many years - some places are nicer than others, but the Fireside Motel was the best of all ! Clean, quite, everything was in like-new condition and the location at the basalt-formed tidepools was great. We will be back!

The location is lovely, comfortable bed, clean room.

The rooms are small and dated, not worth the price. Its the location that makes it a nice place to stay. Not many perks. The staff was friendly enough but you really have no interaction with them.. They certainly didn’t go out of their way to make are stay more pleasant.
