The Dublin House Motel

The ocean breeze and the sound of the tides were wonderful-- the best white noise for sleeping. The view of the water beyond the neighboring rooms really felt well-situated with just a short walk to the ocean. There was ample space in the room, and homey furnishings to relax on. The bed and linens were clean and comfortable. Nice futon couch for relaxing by the window. The town Yachats is really wonderful-- with businesses and amenities worth staying for several days to explore.

The bathroom had no working fan, but there was a confusing fan-timer that was not connected to anything. Not enough storage/hooks/shelving in the bathroom. There were some "work-in-progress" vibes with the layout of the room (example: bed side tables non-existent). We had to clean up a large puddle of coffee-water under the counter when we arrived in the room-- not sure if it just got missed by housekeeping, or if it leaked from the fridge.

The property had a heated indoor pool. Our room had an ocean view. The mini fridge kept our drinks nice and cold!!

The bed was a platform bed. It was very hard to get comfortable even though the mattress was comfortable. The ice machine was located in the office, which was not only at the other end of the building but was not accessible after a certain time. The TV only had streaming services to choose from, so if you don't subscribe to any you can't watch TV.

I loved the heated pool and the openness of the room layout. The staff was very kind and helpful and the view from either East or West of the Inn was beautiful. The location was very quiet and peaceful and I love how close to the ocean it was.

There was no breakfast and for the cost of the room I think some version of a breakfast food should have been offered. There was no air conditioning in the room (which isn't uncommon in this area) so you had to leave the windows open all night. I don't mind having the windows open but some people might.

It would be appreciated if you had screens on the windows, big peeve of mine when there are no screens on the windows or patio sliders. The night and day cool coastal breeze, is why we come here. No screens are like werel camping when bugs fly in. Also a suggestion to have a lamp that has 2/ USB ports for charhing. Some Heads boards also have ports and some tall head boards would update the room beautifully. Remove the half dead table plant. Its not attractive or necessary. Makes the room look dated. Softer light bulbs. The ice machine was an inconvenience to the staff. But Ice machines can be a nuisance to other guest and cleanliness do to none guest using it. So I understood the reasoning to go inyo the office. Over rall I was pleased with my 2 night stay. I will recommend this motel.

I absolutely love Yachats and always love staying at The Dublin House Motel. It is my home away from home, so cozy and welcoming! Large rooms, really comfortable beds, microwave and mini fridge, even a little towel to wipe the beach sand off of your shoes. Everything you need for a wonderful stay in Yachats! Located just off Highway 101 in the heart of Yachats. Restaurants and shops all within walking distance. I highly recommend The Dublin House Motel! I am already planning my next stay!

The heated pool was nice The view was amazing and the room was huge. Great view of the ocean!

Not the hotel's fault but there was absolutely nothing open for breakfast the three restaurants that were supposed to be open were not and even the dollar store that was supposed to be open wasn't so we had to drive 30 minutes just to get breakfast. Next time I stay in this area I'm staying in the hotel that offers food services in the morning.

My friend and I liked the peacefulness here as we’re both noise sensitive and it was very quiet. I was able to bring my little dog. The pool was amazing as we started each day with a swim.

Sadly, the beds were awful. Beyond firm. We drove to the Newport Fred Meyer to buy foam just to be comfortable. I also didn’t like that they phoned me at 8pm to ask me where I was when they told me they’re open until 10pm and I arrived at 8:30pm and I saw people checking in around 10pm when I was walking my dog.

We were impressed with the manager on duty - - - helpful with our questions about the area, etc. It was a quiet place, even being right off the highway. We liked being "in town" for our style of walking (sidewalks and close enough to the coast)- - - - not hikers at age 80 !!

The sink needs attention - - drains slowly! The TV gave us lots of trouble - - - trying to get regular channels instead of all the "extra" show opportunities.

View was good (but not great, being on the first floor - more buildings than ocean), room was very roomy and clean. Staff friendly and helpful. Hot showers and provided shampoo very refreshing. Very close to restaurants. Nice that there was an indoor heated pool (didn't have a chance to use it).

Two things - there needs to be more shelves in the bathroom (not enough room to put toiletries) and the type of thermostat in the room needs to be updated (it was the very old kind, not the digital, non-programable one which is easier to figure out what temp to set it at and find that temp). Room ended up being too hot (one person had a hard time sleeping).

The room was large, clean bathrooms, very comfortable beds. Just down the street was access to a beautiful ocean view and path down to the sand. Very good value for the money.

The floors were pergo or some such material. I had a pet friendly room so I understand the need for easy clean surfaces. There were a few small rugs around the beds. A larger rug area would sure be nice. Luckily, I had a couple of rugs in my car so I could make a pathway for my dog who is scared of bare floors.
