Candlewood Suites Bensalem - Philadelphia Area, an IHG Hotel

The place was nicely decorated for the holidays! Because you have cooking facilities in your room, there's only complimentary coffee, tea and hot chocolate 24/7.... But there's a Dunkin Donuts, Wawa and diner 1/2 mile away! I liked that they provided Dove products in the bath area, great quality and plentiful! After reading other reviews, we were concerned about noise and smells. Neither was an issue for us, heard the person upstairs walking across the floor at midnight, because people cook in their rooms, the hotel uses lots of deodorizing to neutralize odors successfully. Free laundry right next to the fitness equipment, so we could exercise while doing two loads of laundry.

Very close to where we needed to be. A little off the main road, but easy enough to find with GPS. Facility was very clean and staff were pleasant. Room was spacious. Kitchen in the room was a great thing for my picky eaters. Would definitely stay here again.

Small crack in bathroom door and the heat and air conditioning control did not work. It was either air on or heat on. No way to turn off. So it ranged from 75 degrees in the room to 62 with us switching back and forth from heat and air the entire night.

I never stayed at the candlewood suites before I was recommended by a young lady who stayed there before when her apartment was flooded she said the hotel was wonderful she had no complaints about it so I remember and I booked a room there overnight it was above my expectations the rose was extremely clean spacious the bathroom was wonderful and I like the fact that you have a little stove microwave in a full size refrigerator I will hardly recommend this hotel to anyone who's looking for a hotel room staying in that area

There's nothing I didn't like about it so I have nothing bad to say I would definitely recommend this hotel to anyone and I will definitely be staying there again

Clean, comfortable, spacious and well-equipped room.

The rooms should be sound-proofed as the hotel is right next to the highway, enabling a good night of sleep. Even though I asked for a room away from the highway, which I was granted, the noise still kept me awake. Staff were somewhat welcoming (someone was in training), but not overly friendly.

For the price I liked it had a full kitchen. The bed was comfortable and room was spacious. I wish they did have shower caps though but that's minor.

I was called about prepayment at 11:30am but when I arrived at 3:15pm my room was not ready and check in is at 3pm. I asked for a late check out and they couldn't cause it was booked. I feel I should have been able to get a late checkout since I had to wait for my room.

Spotless room and bathroom! Large suite space and comfortable bed! Could not have been more happy with the room. Smelled extremely clean as well and did not see a speck of dirt or dust anywhere. Full kitchen area with little stove and microwave, refrigerator, and even dishes!

The actual hotel did not have a true breakfast but they offered free coffee.

Hotel looked like it was new. Rooms spacious and accommodating. kitchenette had enough space for small meals and beverages. Dog had plenty of room to stretch out and enjoy a 6-night stay. Great location. easy to get around the area, but away from the "fray".

They need to stock their little "shop" with a larger selection of foods, snacks and beverages.

The hotel was perfect for us and our blind dog. We were super close to the stairs and dog area. Staff was very friendly, and attentive to our needs!

Only suggestion would be to keep doggie poo bags in the outdoor area for convenience.

Booked 2 rooms. Both were very large with a kitchen in them. The entire place was clean and well kept. The staff was pleasant and friendly. The beds were very comfortable. Overall we were very satisfied with everything. Would definitely stay again.

So this hidden treasure clean comfortable private hotel. close to malls and stores . Was a great weekend getaway to reset.

Cons night shift employee when we Arrived he was very annoyed and frustrated and nasty & rude . He made us feel uncomfortable that’s not a welcomed at all no customer service to make matters worse we had Ask him the following night for paper goods for our room and he almost threw them on the desk as if we were bothering him. I enjoyed my stay but the unwelcoming and rudeness make me think twice about coming back.
