Super 8 by Wyndham Johnstown

The young man who checked us in was very nice, welcoming, polite. A little later, we called to have TV set into correct source, young lady came up, set it up into correct mode where it worked just fine. She was very polite and explained how previous guest may have changed settings for gaming, which was fine, but she knew her stuff, set it up for regular TV and was very nice. She said to call her if we needed any help.

Hotels over all are too expensive for we occasional travelers, but this was the best price we could get for a well-reviewed place and we were not disappointed.

The room was comfortable, quiet and clean. Parking was free and easy. It was convenient for visiting places out of town, such as the Johnston Flood Memorial and the Horseshoe Curve in Altoona. Having a washing machine and dryer was an unexpected and welcomed addition. I liked that the juices at breakfast included orange and cranberry. Given that there weren't many open rooms when we booked in Johnstown, it was a good choice.

The written information hanging on the door said that although towels and sheets were changed every three days, housekeeping would make the beds and tidy up. We stayed two nights, and there was no housekeeping done to our room. Breakfast did not have any protein choices, just waffles, oatmeal, toast, fruit (Bananas) and granola bars. My traveling partner said the coffee was not very good, he used the word "tolerable."

The location was good but that's about it!!

Breakfast...the only thing that was offered were waffels, from 6 to 9am and coffee for 24 hour, nothing else that's not breakfeast, I picked the hotel because breakfeast was offered, If I had known that breakfast was not offered I would have stayed there. I PAID $500 dollars. You would think with the Wyndham name behind a hotel would have breakfeast. So we had to go out every morning and pay for out breakfeast which for three of us was $50 dollars plus. So next year we will NOT be staying there again!!I would not recommend this hotel to anyone!

Breakfast choices were sparse, but good. Facilities were clean. Our room was small, but clean and comfortable. Coffee was available 24 hrs. Desk clerk was very nice and correctly recommended a really good Mexican restaurant. Wifi was east to connect to and no password was needed.

There were no hangers for clothes in the room. The waffles for breakfast were good, but other than that, bread for toasting, granola bars and bananas, there was no other food offered.

This hotel is a the most beautiful and secure...the administration and employees are very friendly waooo ..let me tell u ..I recommend 👌 ok..im whit Bella my pet and she feels like in home I think she feeling better than our home...this is a paradise naked a another huge hotel like this

Nothing everything is perfect

The rooms were clean and it was quiet.

Breakfast was not great. We went down at 8am and there were 3 honey buns, a few twinkies, and some granola bars and only 3 creamers left. We had to search through the cabinets to find creamer (we found bananas underneath also). The staff should have been restocking the items as it got low but no one was to be found. The breakfast choices were the same each morning.

The waffles were great!

That they only have a ice machine near the lobby so if your on the 2nd or 3rd floor your gonna have to travel a bit. Also it's only one elevator so again depending on where you're room is you gone be walking.

This was a basic hotel and was convenient for us, especially for the price. We were happy with the grab and go breakfast and the gentleman at the front desk (I can't remember his name but he had just moved up from SC) was very pleasant and helpful

The hallways smelled of smoke, but the rooms were okay. It was a little dated but clean

The king bed was very comfortable and the room we had was on the first floor which we found convenient.

The continental breakfast was dismal! Very little was offered. Just bread and a waffle maker No fruit or yogurt. We didn't stay for the breakfast.

The check-in was good, the kindness & honestly provided by the staff was excellent. Everything worked as it should & the bed was extremely comfortable! Due to covid, breakfast was limited but there were options for guests. Best super 8 I've been to, definitely will be staying with them if in the area again.

My only complaint was the top blanket on the bed looked dirty & the occupants in room next to us were very loud coming & going. Could hear whole conversations through wall. Everything else was great.
