Hampton Inn Johnstown

The Hampton Inn had friendly staff, a very comfortable and quiet room, and a lovely hot breakfast each morning that we much appreciated. We were in for a tough funeral, but the Inn gave us a nice place to retreat to at the end of the day and recharge.

The hotel was under construction, so the pool was unavailable- we'd been looking forward to it! Despite the construction everything stayed clean and quiet, so no complaints there.

The hotel was very clean and easy to access. The staff was pleasant. Parking was close and accessible.

Breakfast was very hit or miss. The first day it was good and the selections appeared fresh. The second and third days of our stay the selections (oatmeal, sausage..) were not very good. There also was an employee wearing a TRUMP hat. This is inappropriate in a business setting for the general public.

Was almost checked into a room that wasn’t ready. No real fault of anyones since there was a power outage before, delaying housekeeping. Bed was a bit squishy for my taste and seemed to slope downwards toward the headboard. Pillows were also way too squishy.

Everything was fantastic, I know the 2 things I mentioned are minor things for most but to me it mattered. The staff was super fantastic, the rooms were clean as a hospital room. The pool was super clean and outside and open till 10 pm so chilling in the pool while in the evening was great.

The shower hand bar kinda in the way if it was back futher from the shower head it would give a person more room to stand directly under the shower, and a handheld shower head would have been fantastic.

The most important part was the cleanliness and they did a fantastic job. The new remodel which included no carpet in our room was perfect! The staff was more than friendly! Great stay!

If I had to make a complaint it would be the gym could use some updates and more equipment such as a bike.

Breakfast was excellent & so was the staff! It wasn't overly crowded and very comfortable. It was clean, with plenty of food available. I especially loved the waffle bar.

Check in was the smoothest I’ve ever had at a hotel. Lady who checked us in was so sweet and the rooms were clean.

Beds are uncomfortable but everyone has a preference so not a big deal.

I booked a room for 5 adults assuming there would be a pullout sofa for the 5th adult but no just two beds. The staff was great about getting us a cot; however, they should not allow more than 4 adults in this room. No bigger rooms available.

Staff were friendly and helpful. The room was recently renovated and very clean.

The exterior is still being renovated so there is a lot of extra noise. The cost was kind of high for the area its located in.

Left too early for breakfast

Really nothing. Staff was dialed in to guest experience. On a one night business stay with an early start the next day you don’t want any hang ups. Uneventful is great. Room comfortable had the right amount of amenities.
