Candlewood Suites Erie, an IHG Hotel

There was no breakfast at this location. This was a disappointment. It is always more convenient when we can just get breakfast at the hotel.

The room had a slight damp smell which I think could have been solved with some kind of dehumidifying to prevent this. The tub drain was clogged and did not drain properly, however when we reported this, it was immediately taken care of. The maintenance person was very prompt, and helpful. We appreciated this!

The room was nice and included a small kitchenette. That was helpful since I could bring food back and reward it for extra meals. Location was great. Central to everything. Minutes from Presque Isle which was why I was visiting.

I'm not sure the room was cleaned as well as it should have been. There were no bath towels in the bathroom and there was a used bar of soap in the shower.

We needed ice and an extra blanket and the front desk (Melissa) personally brought the items to our room in a very timely manner. She went above and beyond and it was very much appreciated.

There was no ice bucket in the room. There were no hangers in the closet and we couldn't work the air conditioner. However the room was clean and bright and provided us with the comforts we needed with the exception of those items mentioned which did not affect the pleasant time we had.

I like the queen suite design very very nice!!! And even nicer and impressive when clean. I liked the kitchen very very much it was perrrrfffecct!!!! I liked the size of the tub and the space in the bathroom was very nice!!! The staff was friendly even when I was a little annoyed at being surprised with the $50. Hold fee. Very professional!!!! I had a very nice a cozy stay and will come again!!!!

Didn't like not knowing about 50. Hold. Didn't like that coffee machine in my room was not cleaned out and had old moldy coffee filter in it. Didn't like that pool was closed but it was going under repairs so I understand that one.

Rooms were great. There was space to spread out in the room and the bathroom wasn't just the size of a closet. Staff was great, helpful. We needed help logging into the WiFi and they were available and friendly. Got us logged in and ready to go. Place seemed clean. I liked the Cupboard. It was a room in the lobby with snacks and necessities you can buy in case you forgot something. My kids were excited to see the ice cream!

There is only the front entrance. We were concerned about pulling back out onto the highway each time we wanted to go out. 2 cars traveling together, we got separated in traffic and the plazas were right behind us. Would have been great if there was a back exit right into the shopping plaza. We asked for rooms close together and ended up on the same floor but at opposite ends of the hall, kind of disappointing since I'd booked a few weeks ahead of time. Overall, not a bad stay. Was just a lot of people in the city on this weekend and a lot of traffic, but who can predict that?

Our room was spotless. The staff were very friendly and helpful. the hotel had everything, free laundry facilities. fitness centre and a pool. it is centrally located to great restaurants and shopping

Melissa at the front desk (at the Erie location) was AWESOME!!! She went above and beyond for us. Manny was also, very nice and accommodating. He offered to help carry our bag if we could not find a rolling cart!

For the price, I wish you offered some sort of continental breakfast.

It was clean and pet friendly. My room had a full size kitchen and bathroom. The hotel had a gym, pool and free laundry. It was close to amenities.

There's a cleaning solution that gets used that had our allergies in a frenzy.

Great friendly staff and comfort. Close to LECOM which was amazing.

Toilet has some issues that required me to fix it after flushing.

Now im 9 months pregnant and I had the best sleep in that bed and my husband and I have stayed in extended stays before and this room was huge! There were multiple chairs so we didn't even have to sit on the bed to eat food. They had everything needed and more even though we didn't use any of the kitchen since we were only there a night but knowing what it's like to live in a hotel this had quite the amenities Also I have never seen so much storage! There was a dresser built into the wall and a full closet! Even the bathroom had storage space!

The only fault I saw was the cleanliness of the bathroom, but it wasn't disgusting there were just a couple of hairs around the toilet on the floor. Oh and we didn't have washcloths which wasn't the end of the world.
