Comfort Inn & Suites Pittsburgh

The room, breakfast, staff was very courteous, friendly, professional and helpful when I had issues. My Wifi didn't work and a manager personally came up to try and fix it. She worked with the technology team but they couldn't figure it out either. She compensated me by decreasing my bill. I felt very safe. My stay was very comfortable and only 7 - 10 mins from downtown...even during rush hour.

Wifi never worked in my room (202) and I had work deadlines. I had commitments in the city during the day and was intending to work at night when I got into my room. See note above. I had another issue with the bathtub draining slowly when I showered. The manager on duty made a note but I asked that they not go into my room while I wasn't there and he said ok they could fix it in the evening. I put the Do Not Disturb on the door. When I returned to my room that evening, the sign was on the floor in the bathroom. I never received a response as to who was in my room but I assume it was maintenance because the bathtub drain worked properly afterwards.

The gentleman at the front desk was very accommodating and kind. We were able to check in early which was wonderful given our circumstances. The breakfast was great and there were plenty of options such as waffles, sausage and eggs, several bakery foods like muffins, bagels and toast, classic cereal options or fruit and yogurt if you’re wanting a lighter breakfast (not just a lame grab and go like some hotels offer). The room was clean and the price was right.

The only thing I can think of that was in any way unsatisfactory was the fact that you had to ask someone from the front desk to let you in the pool room and/or gym. I would’ve preferred to be able to just use my key card to access these areas, but all in all, not a huge issue.

I’m guessing it’s fairly new, everything worked cept the ice machine on fl 2. Room was clean n tidy. The ceiling in the shower had apparently had a leak. I’m struggling here to find negatives. I’ve stayed in much worse places, this was pretty sweet. oh, the front desk clerk who checked me in was nice, smart and efficient, crossed all T’s, dotted all I’s, and I was headed to my room in less than 2 minutes.

I’m gonna say location, not neighborhood but along the Jersey barrier divided highway. Our business was in the city and it was just a pain getting turned in the right direction, especially during rush hour. This is all I could come up with, it may not matter to some.

We loved everything about this Comfort Inn. Very conveniently located, close to UPitt and Pittsburgh downtown - yet away from the noise. Free parking with lots of parking space. Room was large, well-maintained, and had a fridge as well as a microwave, The beds were really comfy. The staff was very helpful. The free breakfast in the morning was great as well, it definitely exceeded our expectations. Overall, a family friendly hotel and a great value for money!

Our double queen room was a great size for 2 adults and 3 kids. The couch was perfect for one kid to sleep on comfortably and they left us extra blankets and pillows. We got in town a few hours early and it was raining so we couldn't go to Kennywood first as planned, which left us with no where to go. They were able to get us into our room earlier than check in, which I appreciated SO much. Then they happily gave me another set of room keys when I accidentally tossed our first set in the garbage... The kids loved the pool and everyone was so nice and helpful. Well worth the money.

There's an extra $50 deposit you get back at checkout.

The room was very clean and spacious!

The pool was much smaller than I anticipated. Was fine when it was just my family but got crowded quickly with other families and pairs. Location is horrible! We unfortunately came from the northwest and getting across via Fort Pitt was a nightmare. We had to get creative to avoid it getting over to Children's Hosp the next morning. My youngest son and I also got sick after having the waffles.

Proximity to downtown was fantastic. Room was big and clean. Breakfast was decent. Front desk/breakfast staff were very kind.

Location was a little difficult to get in and out of, but it works. Shower pressure was almost non existent and the elevator was a bit sketchy. Also, the maids would stand in the elevator door just talking while people are trying to get up and down, causing long elevator delays.

The front desk was very helpful in how to best get to the downtown area. All staff were pleasant and helpful. Breakfast was very good, enhancing the standard hotel breakfast by adding items to make the scrambled eggs tastier.

Parking fee was excessive for what was offered, which was basically a construction site. The location was a bit far from downtown, which in the end cost us more to in total parking fees than we had expected.

Check-in was quick and smooth. The room was more than I thought it was going to be. Very spacious, lots of seating. The room was very clean and well kept. The only complaint I had was there wasn't enough drawer space for clothes. Bed was nice and firm. TV and Wi-Fi was perfect. Let's just say everything went beyond my expectations and as I mentioned "the drawer space" was not very adequate.

There were only two small drawers for clothes storage.

excellent front desk lady. we checked in late after a game, our room was dirty. she quickly changed our rooms and gave a couple complimentary drinks.

initially our directions didn’t take us the correct way. had to circle around a couple miles due to the parking lot being able to be accessed from the side of the road we were coming. there is a large concrete barrier in the middle of the road. have to turn into a different property if you are coming that direction.
