Omni William Penn Hotel

We stayed for only one night because our flight home was cancelled and the hotel where we were staying was full. It’s a historic hotel with great public spaces. My husband enjoyed talking to other guests at the small bar in the big central area and was very impressed with the wine list. I was impressed with the well maintained gym. Every staff member was eager to please, and there was adequate staff, so we didn’t ever have to wait for service. Our room was comfortable.

We checked in early evening and had to leave early the next morning so we didn’t get our money’s worth, but that’s not the fault of the hotel.

Room (except the shower is very small). Having a full bathroom and a half was great. Safety of having to use your room key to use the elevator. The darkness of room with the curtains - so didn't wake up at 6AM!

The store that sells drinks & snacks in the lobby area closes to early. Very busy when we arrived on William Penn Ave on Friday afternoon about 4PM - no place to pull in at curbside to unload bags so rather than hold up traffic we continued down the street and turned left onto Oliver. Used the entrance at this street. But no one from hotel was able to help us. As I was checking in at the front desk was told we would need to go around the block again - that the staff was only on the other street (main entrance). No one mentioned that the Roberto Clemente bridge was out - had to walk another route to PNC park.

This hotel is GORGEOUS! SO much history! We were treated like royalty. The room was spacious and very clean. The beds were super comfortable! The staff was excellent. We paid extra for vallet parking, so we didnt have any extra stress trying to find parking in the city. The food was Delicious, I do not have one complaint.I cant say enough about the front desk staff, or our servers. They went above and beyond. Our server at breakfast was very knowlegable of the hotel history, and offered to take pictures for us! I cant wait to stay here again.

Beautiful lobby. Great history there too. Fantastic location. Hop On and Off bus picked me up from here. It is also next to Del Frisco’s and Eddie AB’s and also Talia’s too. Water pressure is fantastic on the 8th floor. Speakeasy is really good too.

The bed slopes and the toilet runs. I needed to close the bathroom door and sleep in the other bed.

Gorgeous historic hotel right in downtown Pittsburgh. Felt like walking through a beautiful museum about the late 1800s/early 1900s. The rooms were old-style luxury with ornate finishes. Bed was very comfortable.

The front desk staff weren't too friendly but they were also very busy when I showed up. Parking is tough right in downtown Pittsburgh; I used the valet option which was $45/night if I remember correctly.

great location. friendly. Claire at front desk check in was excellent. she upgraded us to room 767. the bathroom was very small. tub filled up with water when we showered. the room was spacious. bed very comfy with bedding. one day they forgot to give us towels. one day no service at all have us 50% off room rate. the hotel is lovely. couldn use some updating. the elevators were great always timely.

halls seem a bit dull and drab. could use a facelift. carpet as well. not an inexpensive hotel.

We stayed a night for to attend the Eras Tour - the hotel was packed with Taylor Swift fans and the staff did a fabulous job at wrangling all the Swifties.

No complaints, really. The hotel is huge and also a little dated. So very easy to get lost on the floors, confusing elevator buttons but as a whole, these are super minor. One vanity in the bathroom meant we were a little more pushed for time than we would've liked.

It was very comfortable--the shower had good flow and the water quickly became hot. Well lighted, the desk was suited to power up my laptop and to write and read.

The pillows were harder--more firm than I like. That was the only negative.

We stayed at the Omni William Penn for a couple of days to attend a Billy Joel concert and spend some time in Pittsburgh. This hotel is gorgeous, very clean and in the perfect location for walking around downtown Pittsburgh! The front desk staff helped us navigate our way to find out how to get to a Riverboat cruise we booked. I can't say anything negative about this hotel at all! We will be coming back in September for a Steelers game...can't wait to stay again! Thank you so much!

the hotel was amazing. the breakfast experience was a disaster with very bad presentation and food missing from the order. A very unpleasant waiter. the hotel staff were very helpful and the hotel was very good value. very good communications
