Cambria Hotel Pittsburgh - Downtown

I liked that the property had the little built in bar with all the TVs downstairs. It was nice and comfortable for my boyfriend and I to watch the game while we waited for our room to be cleaned.

I wasn’t a fan of the way the shower was made. I didn’t like the open door area as opposed to a swinging door to enter and exit. It would become quite cold in the shower due to the openness. Also, the shower floor could have been much cleaner.

The location is VERY convenient if you’re going to PPG or other locations close by. I like that there is parking on-site ($20). The rooms were clean. The shower water pressure is nice and strong.

My only complaint is that the AC in our room didn’t work. It was 72 degrees when we got to our room so we turned the AC down thinking it would cool the room off while we were gone. We were gone several hours and came back and the room was still 72 degrees and the carpet under the AC was soaked. They moved us to a new room which just happened to be next door so that really was very convenient since we didn’t have to move our stuff very far.

Loved the lounge area inside our room as well as the lobby. Outdoor patio was great as well. The pool area was nice. Enjoyed the location close to downtown! The staff was excellent. Helped the stay feel easy :) love the water filling station and the exercise area as well. The lighting inside the bathroom was great for getting ready as well:) beautiful sitting areas so u don't feel "stuck in your room" at all!

The fire pit in the patio area did not work, and the bed felt a little "downhill" my husbands back didn't love it. Tho the rest of the family slept great!

Great facilities, though frustrated about the closed pool.

Parking charges were significant and I wish they would have been indicated in the booking platform.

check-in parking was horrible! several cars no where to pull to check in. the parking lot person was very rude. I have stayed at this hotel several times and never had to deal with this guy. I know the process. I know where to park. he chased down my car to tell me I can’t park there I need a pass. I told him I know I’m checking in and getting a pass as I’m walking into the hotel kept repeating you need a pass. you should allow guests to park around back in the lot while they are checking in then put their pass in the window after check in. I did it anyways cause I was not going to sit on the road or blocking the entrance to the parking area.

Love how close it is to the arena. We were able to roam around all day around pitsburg Then enjoyed the concert! It was so nice having the concert right next to the hotel. The rooms seemed nice and clean. The staff was very friendly They have a gym, pool, and hot tub that were nice to enjoy also. We really enjoyed our stay.

So I never traveled before.... This was my very first trip. I paid for hotel online and when we got there I didn't realize there was a down payment. 🤦‍♀️ Well I had no money on my card at the time only cash he wouldn't take it and almost had us leave Thank goodness my daughter had her card and he took that instead. But that could of been really bad being almost 11 at night.

Location was great for our event. Staff were friendly and helpful. Every staff member we passed either in hallway, elevator or front desk were polite and offered a hello or enjoy your stay. The beds were very accommodating and the room was spacious for my family. Would recommend and would stay again.

Only complaint (not really) is we had to request sheets and toilet paper as there was none when we got there. After requesting it the staff did bring them that evening. Resolved issue, no biggie.

LOVED the room, staff and cleanliness. The room was perfect temperature. Sheets/pillows/blankets, everything with the room was beyond perfect.

Disappointed in food service. Would have liked to been able to get food late at night and/or at least free basic breakfast. The buffet wad sausage eggs and bacon but cost another $15 per plate. So we went in to the city to lay the same amount for more.

Location was perfect for my needs. Staff was extremely friendly and helpful. Had some issues with my vehicle and Chef Charles went out of his way to check on me, my vehicle and offer any assistance he could. John was great with the shuttle and very accommodating. Front desk staff was welcoming and kind. Bar was well stocked and staffed.

Wanted to do laundry but front desk had no coins and machines required quarters. Highly recommend BLVD laundry (24 hr laundromat) to any of your guests. The “grab and go” food and drink selection was sorely lacking. No free coffee for guests in the lobby.

A second Desk attendant, our receipt states 'dwelsh' check us in. He saw us and asked us if we needed anything. I told him the other person told us we could not check in, although it was the correct time and I was concerned about our early dinner reservation before a show. He asked for our name and said, oh I can check you in and also offered to have to shuttle take us to dinner if timing was going to be an issue (and also the weather was poor). He was very pleasant, helpful and service oriented at a time that the hotel lobby area/bar was very congested and overcrowded. We really appreciated his service.

When we tried to check-in at 4:00, the first desk attendant told us our room was not ready and to check back in 20 minutes. Shower area was not as clean as could have been.
