Hampton Inn & Suites York South

The breakfast was between o.k. & good because some FREE breakfast included is better than no breakfast . A little more attention by the breakfast attendant is needed due to breakfast items running out at least an hour before breakfast time is over (10 a.m. ) & no replenishment done of the item. Oatmeal soupy one morning & too thick ( just needed some water added ) the next. Location of hotel & proximity to activities is great.

The fact that an adult roach was found crawling on the microwave/ frig unit was disturbing and reported to hotel desk personnel. I don't feel an extreme extermination is in order but at least bug spray the wooden unit down. If it was a serious problem I'm sure we would have seen more than one. It was killed.

This facility did not disappoint! Staff members were beyond friendly, but only in a good way. The room, lobby and pool were each meticulously clean. The bed was luxuriously comfortable and clean. Though I know it wasn't true, it appeared that I was the first guest to stay in my room. There was NO evidence of previous guests!

The breakfast bar was not the best I've had. I always love when there is a pitcher of ice water. And I would have liked more fruit options.

Breakfast was great every morning. The workers were great and kept all the items available. Our handicap accessible room was across the hall from the elevator and was VERY easy to use.

Parking is always an issue and there could be MORE handicap spots available.

check in was a breeze. The check in staff was friendly and knowledgeable which is a plus.

The property was clean, the room was comfortable. The outside of the front of the building not so much, although work is being done on the building, the pathways for guest to walk though should be clear and easy at all times.

I love the breakfast and the rooms and linens are very nice. I enjoyed chatting with some of the staff. It was very quiet and we were able to rest from our motorhome. Parking is also good. We found the perfect space to park our coach and a room where we could keep any eye on it. Clean and fresh rooms.

Nothing that I didn't like

Location was great, easy access to 83. I also liked the fact breakfast was served on the weekends. The pool was actually heated to an amazing temperature.

I didn’t like how uncomfortable the bed was. It was hard to get comfortable after a long drive.

hotel was very clean and spacious. Hotel staff were friendly. they had a really good breakfast included and coffee always available there by the entrance. very large rooms.

I wish the showers were more spacious and that the pillows on the bed were king size.

Our fridge didn’t work and someone fixed it right away, our room also didn’t have internet connection but the staff got on it right away to resolve the issue

The pool seemed dirty and not well kept

2nd night someone tried to open my room door. Turns out the hotel registered someone else while I was still there. They said they have no record of me checking in. All resolved, but should get they computer system upgraded . Needs upgrading of their rooms… no ports to charge iPads or iPhones.

Location was perfect. Local restaurants close to location. Great free breakfast selection. More than anticipated. Television had a lot of premium selections. Very friendly staff.

Price was a little higher than expected. Pool depth was small, 3'-4'.
