Holiday Inn Express & Suites Smithfield - Providence, an IHG Hotel

It was clean, comfortable, and pretty good breakfast. It was the usual hot breakfast, and the lady filling breakfast was nice as well. Also peaceful in hallways. We only stayed one night while on our 9 day east coast trip, but I’d stay here again. It also sits on a main road, but the way it sits is very private. Room was also had lots of room.

I wish there was a vent in the bathroom so it wouldn’t steam up the room when you shower. also wish pool hours were later than 8, but that’s not a big deal for us.

The staff were extremely nice and helpful. When an alarm went off as we entered the room, maintenance was called and dealt with it within 20 minutes. They offered us a discount due to the inconvenience. The bedding was bright white and we loved the options of hard and soft pillows. We also liked that the beds were at traditional height rather than the modern trend of high beds. 24 hour desk and coffee service was great and the handicapped accessable room made showering a pleasure. The parking area was well lit and there was a portico under which to load and unload in the rain. The checkout procedures were quick and easy.

The pool and gym were closed as was the breakfast buffet. These were some of the reasons we booked here. It would have been nice to be informed in advance of these situations. They did offer breakfast grab and go bags but it was mostly processed foods. Also the tv remote was extremely difficult to use. We'd have to push the buttons very hard and sometimes it changed and sometimes not. Also it frequently cut out saying no signal.

They woke us up at 9 in the morning to give us a receipt and they weren’t respectful of our stay. The manager prompt me to reach out to bookings.com for a credit.

It was very loud and they woke me up early when I’m here in town and trying to relax. I’ve never been to a hotel like this either. There was a leak in the shower and water was all over and around to toilet.

Staff was good they accommodated all of our kids and such. Didn't seem to mind to cleaning up after us we do make messes. We enjoyed the pool.

They offered a nice breakfast but only until 930 kinda prevents sleeping in. That said the hotel is perfect for an overnight business trip. Not great for vacation.

Used minimal of breakfast but satisfied with what I used. Really liked soft and hard pillows - most hotel pillows are too hard. Used wireless minimally and no other facilities because of my schedule. Very satisfied overall and would book again. I just needed clean, safe, and central location and you had all I needed!

Super friendly staff great breakfast

The pool was extremely small and had buoys in the middle so I couldn’t even swim and it was a little cold. My room definitely had a nice film of dust everywhere and my sheets were like stained. Hopefully they were clean.

The breakfast was amazing. My kids loved it. The pancakes were super delicious and the kids loved seeing them so quickly made. The pool was terrific. The cleanliness around the hotel and the lobby bathrooms were also great.

The location is good with easy access to downtown, I295, downtown and airport. The location is quiet. The breakfast choices were good. The indoor pool and fitness center were nice to have. The staff was very friendly and ready to help (front desk, breakfast room and cleaning).

We specifically asked for a room away from everything (elevators and ice machines etc) because my husband has difficulty sleeping and is epileptic. Whomever was placed in the room directly above us was up walking around their room all night long. It was loud enough to wake me as well. Needless to say neither of us slept well. I did mention this to the service representative at the desk when we checked out. She apologized and said she would see what she could do but we have not yet heard anything as of today.
