The staff was exceptional! From Taja, C.J. and Sam at the front desk to Trea at the breakfast bar to Carmen cleaning the room, we were treated with kindness and professionalism that I have not experienced before.

We were told what our bill was when we arrived and paid the total amount. However, when we looked at our bill after arriving home, we noticed a charge of $466.00 added to what we paid. I understand the money was kept aside to pay for any damages to the room, but I don't believe that was explained to us upon arriving. I suggest the total bill should be shown to the residents upon arrival as well as the explanation about the portion being held for possible damages.

The room was nice, larger than expected (we were put in a handicapped room, which we didn't ask for) and everything was in working order. The bed, pillows, and linens were clean and comfortable. The room and furnishings appeared relatively new - save the armchair and ottoman - It had a relatively large refrigerator, microwave, and other amenities appropriate for a handicapped room.

There was an arm chair and an ottoman in the room, but the ottoman had seen its better days. The chair was a little better. The bedside lamps were insufficient to use for reading. I'm not sure what purpose they served. At checkout we were charged a $150 pet fee, a charge that was not made clear until checkout. We are accustomed to paying pet fees (for one little chihuahua), but this was an excessive charge. Breakfast was the typical hotel offering: instant oatmeal, rubber eggs and gray mystery-meat sausage. Pretty unappetizing. The coffee was quite good, however.

The front desk employee was very pleasant and great to work with. The rooms and property were very clean.

Breakfast was good, with exception of Monday morning. We witness an employee shut the door on someone as they were trying to get breakfast. Very rude. Glad to see she was absent the rest of our visit. Not good reflection on your image.

We arrived earlier than anticipated, the staff was so nice, they got us into a room right away. The room is super clean and all amenities. I liked that it has a full breakfast in the morning, but also full kitchen in the room

There were plates and silverware, different sizes of glasses but no coffee cups. We just grabbed a few paper ones from the kitchen area.

Breakfast was great. The staff were professional and housekeeping were superb. We will definitely stay there again on our next trip to Charleston!!

The beds were not very comfortable. It felt like there was a board running down the middle of the bed. Floor mats are needed infront of the showers.

The property was exceptionally clean and well-maintained… The staff could not have been nicer or more helpful…

my only complaint was the breakfast was subpar at best the toaster didn’t work I observed many people trying to toast some thing and walking away and giving up I myself put the toaster down four times and it never toasted…… But overall I would stay there again and just not plan on breakfast it was exceptionally clean and well-maintained

Friendly staff. Stayed at Hyatt House last time and I thought it was nice but was more impressed staying here.

Maybe picked up trash a little faster when it was left outside the room in the hallway. But that could be of under staffed.

Excellent location. Close to everything downtown Charleston. Everything you could possibly need is in the suite (full size fridge, microwave, dishwasher, stove top, coffee maker etc.) Comfortable bed. Reasonable breakfast 🍳 Great laundry room. Friendly staff, especially Joe on night shift!

The rooms are not cleaned for 5 days when people stay past 3 days? This is not acceptable to me even with covid-19 protocols and restrictions. It means that bathrooms and toilets are not cleaned for 5 days; and if a guest needs renewed supplies he/she must ask for them. The heating system needed to be adjusted for too much cold air emitting from it.

They didn’t have the breakfast for anybody other than juice. The Hampton Inn has there breakfast by bagging up cereal and sausage biscuits and juice you just went to the dining area and they gave you your breakfast. Also the manager on duty yelled at my granddaughter cause she opened the ref. To get her some juice which was still breakfast time. And the manager closed up everything as she walked off. The time was 830am . Not suppose to close before 930am.

The room was clean and spacious. Breakfast was average.

The only thing is that the shower was open so it was annoying that the floor got wet every time you took a shower. But we really liked the shampoo, conditioner, and the soap!
