Hampton Inn Chattanooga West/Lookout Mountain

Location was great right off interstate and short drive to downtown. Breakfast was ok with several options to choose from.

I traveled with my 3 year old daughter so the pool was a must and one of the main reasons I choose this particular hotel was the fact it had 2 pools with one having slide. I thought with 2 pools we would have option of choosing the least crowded if one or the other was crowded. I called 2 days before arriving to make sure both pools were open and I was told so. Once we arrived the outside pool was nasty, not maintained, and closed for the season is what sign said. I know that decision wasn’t made in the 2 days after I called because it couldn’t have gotten that nasty in that short amount of time.

The front desk ladies were so nice when we checked in and brought us extra bedding. Lovely property, engaging and genuine GM Scott! Abs your continental breakfast is always so much better that other hotels. The sound of the cicadas outside add night was aatounding and the view was stunning in the morning, as we drove in at night.

Curtains were in need of replacement. And as sofa beds go, this one was extremely uncomfortable for our adult son. The milk. Made my husband throw up. He said it was sour even though it wasnt outdated. But these are small things.

The location was perfect for us. Truly everything we visited Chattanooga to do was within a 10-15 minute commute. Ruby Falls, Raccoon Mountain Caverns and Rock City were what we came to do. Walmart is right across the road for anything you might need. Urgent Care is also across the road (2min drive) from the hotel. We really enjoyed our stay.

There were 2 things: The ice machine on the 4th floor had mold under the tray in the interior, where you sit your bucket. The second thing is every morning you hear “house keeping” at 9am, as they move from room to room. Sleeping past 9am, while on vacation, would be difficult with all the announcing in the morning. It was a bit disturbing.

I love this Hampton Inn at Lookout Mountain. I have stayed here a couple of times during my journey to Southern Florida. It is about half way from Chicago. I will always stay here when traveling south. Everything is clean, rooms are quiet, breakfast is great, and the staff is always cheerful.

It is hard for me to believe, but there were a few things wrong with my stay this time. Normally I can not find anything wrong with this hotel. I was almost shocked. 1. Bathroom light switch was broken and does not turn the bathroom light off. 2. There are ample bags of coffee and an ice cube container, but no cups were to be found in the room. 3. The free Wi-Fi worked the night of my stay, but did not work in the morning.

I liked the location and the beds and pillows were comfortable. The front desk staff was very friendly and helpful.

The hot food for breakfast was slightly burned two of the three days we were there. The woman in charge of breakfast was not pleasant and seemed lazy. It appeared that she didn’t care about her job. She was slow getting the hot beverages out as well. I also wish when there is no daily maid service they would simply communicate that to their guests so that we don’t place our used towels on the floor. We were able to get clean towels if we asked for them.

Cleanliness of the hotel.

I've stayed at different Hampton hotels over the years and it seems like the beds have changed. They use to be so comfortable, now they seem to be so stiff and ridged like the two and three star hotels use. I hope I am wrong and that Hamptons which is run by Hilton is not cutting corners. 🤔 When me and my family goes on a trip I always look to book at a Hilton or Hampton Hotel. I would really hate to start looking elsewhere, but it's all about comfort when it comes to sleep.

Clean, neat, well groomed. Great swim pool area and outside seating to relax and enjoy the outdoors. The fireplace was welcoming.

As we said before...only the bed coverlet or cover was an issue for us.

We go to the same location every year to get away for awhile. It is our favorite spot to stay. Location is perfect and the property is always in excellent condition. Staff is wonderful and the breakfast is great!

So up-to-date and fresh! Breakfast was a notch above the usual. Beds were super comfy - and the air conditioning was excellent (whisper quiet and cooled the room to the icy temps I like!!).

The pillows were sort of terrible 😞 Even with all 4, my head and neck were not supported and felt like I was laying on the mattress with 0 pillows

Nice, clean room, lots of extra towels provided and very comfy bed! Check-in/out was smooth and the staff was very friendly. The location is great for moving around the Lookout Mountain and there is also parking area available (shared with the Fairmont hotel that's right next). Pretty good breakfast selection too! Not cheap but good value for money compared to other hotels in the area.
