Aiden by Best Western @ Austin City Hotel

The rooms were very nice. Mine had a view of the downtown Austin skyline, it was a shame the windows weren't cleaner to see it well. The room and bathroom were clean and there were enough towels, working hairdryer, fridge. Heat/ AC was easy to control and worked well.

I could not claim Best Western rewards points on my account for my stay, they said it was because I used a third party for the booking. Breakfast food was available at the bar/ restaurant area but all pre-wrapped and hot food was not very warm, paper plates and plastic cutlery, but I suppose that may be just because of Covid restrictions.

Breakfast was a great addition to our stay. Can't go wrong with free eggs bacon sausage waffles oatmeal and different coffee flavors and hot chocolate.

The attached restarurant I will give a bad rating due to. Not being served. We sat down for a meal and server came by about 10 min later with menus. She tossed the menus at us and just walked away. Didnt even say welcome or what would you like to drink. We waited for another 15 min she never came back so we walked out. This was in the evening at 8:30pm.

Staff were so friendly and helpful and gave us plenty of local information. The room was clean and had everything we needed. Bed was unbelievably good (I never sleep well when away but this time I really did). We chose the hotel as it was near to.the airport and to COTA but we also walked to Congress St and the Bridge and did some great shopping and saw the bats. We will absolutely be back.

I would have liked toast at breakfast and maybe an alternative cereal - but that's just me! There was a cooked breakfast available and lovely fruit.

Free breakfast was good and had enough options to suit everyone I think. The room was a good size for 2 people, clean and comfortable. We loved the décor of the whole hotel, and our room in particular, and the artworks were great. Reception was able to provide coin change for the Laundry room machines, and the laundry room had seating which was good. The location was great, near major routes to the city and places of interest.

The laundry room was so hot but I decided to stay with my laundry anyway.

We LOVE the Aiden! We have stayed there several times before, and will again! Our daughter lives in Austin so we visit as much as possible. It’s not the fanciest hotel, but we really love it’s laid back, funky feel! The staff is super friendly and helpful! We loved the pool furniture upgrades this visit as well as the new exterior painting/murals!

Our one and only complaint is regarding the on-site restaurant, Opal Divine’s. The food quality is not very good. In our opinion, the food quality has deteriorated since we’ve been staying there the past three years. It appears that this may be deterring guests from using the restaurant as much as it might be used if the quality was better. The place is normally very empty, aside from breakfast. This visit, I had a quesadilla as well as chicken tender meal. Neither was very good. Obviously, if the restaurant was better it would be well used due to the convenience of an on-site option.

Beds - Comfortable and clean Room - stylish, clean and modern Bathroom - nice hot shower and clean Lobby had a good lounging space The pool area and pool were great. Tables, sun chairs, jacuzzi. It was one of the highlights for me Staff was exceptional. Professional and kind Breakfast had plenty of options and was tasty

The room was humid at times despite running the AC at 70F There was a cockroach in the room. The only one we saw.

The place isn't far from Austin downtown area I think it's great. It has a pool area and gym. I like that this place have so many options. The restaurant downstairs seem great. They offer great breakfast in the morning I think this place is great

I would say that my room was dark and it felt lonely, but my room was given to me in the back of the hotel I can see the parking lot. I just say this place overall seems great. Overall the place seem good

Initially, I was apprehensive about road noise. However, it was not a problem. The room was quiet. Ashton was very personable and accommodated my request to look at an alternate room (that I liked so much I switched to without even looking at the assigned room). The breakfast crew was also accommodating and friendly.

It was cold weather for our stay. I would have liked to use the hot tub, but I didn't want to get cold on the trek back to the room. However, I was highly tempted to just jump in the hot tub anyway since it looked so inviting. Maybe next time.

The room was OK, a little on the small side for two adults and a teenager. The breakfast was fine although the lighting was very dim as if it was the only lighting from the night time. The hotel was quiet and in a good location for getting to Austin and also for the south shopping district. Unfortunately the pool did not look too inviting so we didn't spend any time there.

bathroom, room floor , and in general very dated , the door at the room did feel like it was loosely locked. the floor with old wood making funny squeaks , no cleaning room on my stay, everything you might require like extra soap, towels, extra amenity like , coffee , tea you must go to front desk and ask. breakfast very poor quality , I just try 1 at day ,
