Super 8 by Wyndham Austin University/Downtown Area

I liked that they allowed me to check in early & with no extra charge, because I had no where to go after my flight landed at 10 am. The woman on duty when I arrived (Diane, sorry if I spelled it wrong) was truly the sweetest and most helpful. I suffer from horrible anxiety and she made the entire transaction bearable, most comfortable I’ve felt in public in a while! Her customer service was great, as was her work ethic & enthusiasm.

I didn’t care much for some of the other citizens staying, but that’s not their fault. I was a little bummed that my iron didn’t work, or the light above the bed. The tv was also very slow & kept getting dark.

The neighbors were really nice and friendly. The beds were very comfortable. The staff was very friendly and polite and they greeted me with a big smile. The staff also said if I needed anything just to let them know and they would take care of what I needed.

The phone in the room was not working but that's ok I had my own phone. Other than that it was a nice stay. Slept like a baby and had a pleasant night. My grandson's had fun on the scooter just to see them have fun and laugh and enjoy themselves you accommodated our stay. Thank you for putting smiles on my family's face. It was a night to remember.

Breakfast is legit. I come to this property at least once a month and the office staff are always awesome to me, probably because they know me by now and because I keep my room clean and don’t complain.

There are restrictions on the WiFi which I find a little annoying, but it’s not like it’s the end of the world, it’s not something that would ruin my stay.

Room was big and had working (though also noisy) a/c. Had a desk to put my laptop on, with nearby outlet and USB connection (once I removed the enormous microwave that was inexplicably blocking its use as a desk...try moving the microwave somewhere else).

Room 240, despite what I was told, gets a lot of outside noise, with 24/7 traffic noise and with rowdy customers and daytime cleaning staff(!) yelling back and forth to each other. The safety door stop doesn't work; can be pushed right through, without breaking it.

The ability to pay totally thru booking dot com I send my employees there the night before they have a a test at the state board. The hotel says (every time) I send one of my employees to this hotel they can not use the booking . com cc on file to pay for the room. (even though they can use it to charge my card for a no show cancellation penalty) and I have to either call when my employee arrives or sign a document with the CC number on it which I do not like to do.

Breakfast was available.nice friendly staff. Close amenities. Ice machine. Lovely location. Comfortable beds nice housekeeping staff. Great front desk service.

There could have been more avaliable for breakfast. Boxed cereal or sausage and eggs. Vending machines could have been working and filled up.

It’s closeby to everything we needed and the included breakfast is the best part!

The towels and soap distribution was random but they still helped out when you ask. Also it would get humid in the room, but it was still a great stay.

Super 8 was PERFECT! We had a horrible experience at Motel 6 North and checked out early during our vacation and booked at this hotel. The front desk staff allowed us to check into the room at 10 am instead of waiting til 3pm. The housekeeper Melissa was EXCEPTIONALLY kind and hospitable. She was still cleaning our room when we arrived but assured us that she was almost finished and she was more than willing to help in any way she could. The interior of room was very nicely decorated and very comfortable. The pool area was very clean and nice. We enjoyed it. Thanks to this hotel, our vacation was a hit. Thank you so very much for everything. WE WILL BE BACK. We stayed in room 216.

very happy with everything this hotel offered. We will be back to stay here when we return to Austin.

Room was clean and the front desk staff was friendly. Check-in was smooth. Breakfast was ok. The bed was spacious and comfortable.

Breakfast could have had some protein choices like eggs, sausage, bacon. Cable stations were off with the numbers. Did know what local stations were there.

I really like the attitude and professional demeanor of the young lady who checked me in

That I didn't set my alarm clock for breakfast lol
