Hampton Inn & Suites Bastrop

The Management staff on duty Saturday morning was very polite and did offer credit for the issues we had. They did apologize for the rudeness of the night staff.

Traveling with my Daughter we had booked a room with two queen beds we instead got a king suite with a sleeper sofa. This left me giving my daughter the bed and sleeping on a very uncomfortable sofa. The desk staff on Frida night was a man named Chuck he was very rude and unhelpful with the issues. The sleeper sofa had no sheets only a mattress cover and was very uncomfortable to sleep on.

The staff were AMAZING...went above & beyond to be wonderful hosts during a freezing, winter storm. They are hard workers, super friendly & the “hostess with the mostest”. The hot breakfast every morning was very yummy. My son & I stayed for 8 nights due to the freezing weather & icy roads & felt safe & in good, kind & loving hands.

The pool. Enjoyed swimming but it was never heated & warm like it claims to be but we still enjoyed swimming & was so thankful for it especially with cabin fever & everything being shut down in town. & the hot tub could use more cleaning with chemical treatments.

Spacious room with a sitting area and a little kitchenette. Very clean. Did not eat breakfast so don’t know about that.

Carpet was pretty threadbare in areas of the room. Staff was confused on payment and was trying to tell me the 3rd party had paid for it. Manager straightened it all up.

Didn’t eat breakfast; coffee was good in lobby, though.

Room wasn’t as tidy as I would of preferred. There was a couple pieces of cardboard on bathroom floor, indicating only a cursory sweep, but floor was clean otherwise. I was a tad disappointed our room wasn’t ready at 3:00 pm check in. We were given an alternative room pretty quickly, though, so no real inconvenience. There was no chest of drawers to unpack suitcases, which I thought pretty unusual for an upscale hotel.

The staff was very helpful and friendly. The breakfast was really good and they had a different meat on the line each day I was there. I will being staying here on my next trip to Bastrop.

Bed could bed a little better, but other then that I have no problem with staying here and will stay again next trip.

Nice big room, comfortable bed

Slightly misleading as it said it was near everything but the town centre was a 10-15 min drive away. It was well out of the way only near fast food restaurants and a Walmart.

everything was great, no problems, friendly staff, very helpful. Great breakfast and very easy check in and check out. I would recommend to everyone. Thank you for all of your attention to details. We will be back.

Needs improvement. One day it was good serving hot eggs, sausage patties, cereals, fruits, milk, biscuits and gravy and coffee. The next day it was French toast, small cheese omelets, cereals, fruits, and coffee. It was not up to my expectations. Adults want hearty breakfasts. The cheese omelets were terrible and i don't eat sweet stuff for breakfast.

The food

The staff was exceptional and the accommodations were great. They brought a microwave and mini fridge to our room after we requested it and they bent over backwards to make us feel welcome here. The breakfast staff were also very friendly and accommodating.

The only thing we were disappointed in is that they ran out of banana nut muffins halfway through our stay.

The facility was clean, smell clean as soon as we entered the lobby. The room also was very clean and did not smell musty like other hotel rooms. the breakfast was great and again, very clean.
