DoubleTree by Hilton Charlottesville

The breakfast was superb! Plenty of good entrees served in a classy location overlooking a wooded area behind the building. Food had a special look when served up in the surroundings we encountered. Tasty and healthy at the same time. I enjoyed the potatoes and scrambled eggs along w/turkey sausage. The coffee was plentiful and hot! The host was very responsive to questions and help with the layout. We ate at a weathered breakfast location down the street, with only one server/host who had so much to do that morning. Their price was only a few dollars less than Doubletree's price and the atmosphere was cleaner, newer, shinier at your hotel. Refills and choices made the Doubletree a real find!

You really need to work with someone like Lowe's/Kohler to install higher toilet bowls for more comfortable seating on the seat ring. This past year, in our home in NC, I purchased two Kohler Cimmaron Complete Solution Elongated Chair Height toilets to replace the 16-year-old toilets like what was in our Room 914 at your hotel. Much more comfortable to sit Down On as they are higher off the floor and don't cause a man of my age to fold down into a tight bundle! I am sure, though unless you got Kohler to design a cheaper style high toilet with the power flush, they would not be cost-effective in your locations. Mine were $426 each. Best toilet we have EVER had in our home!

Modern decor and looked recently renovated. Location was good. Walmart was right next to it for some last minute shopping for the dorm room. Breakfast was very good and was priced very reasonable. Dining space was spacious with beautiful views. The room rate was really very reasonable as compared to the other hotels in this area.

the location, restaurant, bar were all very nice. Megan, the bartender and breakfast hostess, did a fantastic job! she was knowledgeable, attentive, and greeted us in the morning.

the bathroom needed work. some water damage, grout was gross, the shower curtain bar was leaning down so the curtain kept opening up and letting out water

The breakfast was what you would get as a free breakfast at most other hotels. Tasteless and gross quite frankly. It cost close to 20$ a person including tip so needless to say I wasnt very pleased. The coffee also tasted sour.

The breakfast, other than that everything was lovely. Best nights sleep ever.

Breakfast option. Complimentary cookies. Staff was nice/ accomodating. Airport shuttle.

Toilet wasn't thoroughly clean upon arrival. I could clearly hear tv/guest from the next room. One of the elevators was out of order.

Pool cold. Booked through booking.com and the staff was trying to give me a parking lot view after I requested months ago that I wanted a view. Overpriced breakfast buffet. Bathroom vanity and sink was could have been cleaner.

Loved that they had a wheelchair on site for my elderly mother so she wouldn't have to walk so far to the room. Friendly staff, excellent cleanliness. Miss having continental breakfast but love those cookies!

We didn't know the cafe was closed for lunch and sat there a while. No big deal, but signage would've been a huge help.

Convenient, we have stayed there for many years when visiting family in Charlottesville.

It is an older building so there seems to be a need for renovating the rooms. This is the second stay in 2 months that the door to the connecting room was faulty.

Good for a buffet. Fruit was fresh and excellent. Pancakes cold. bacon and sausage tasted re-heated, Good variety of breads, muffins etc, and good oat meal. good juice selection. seating was very nice. the waitress was very good and polite.

Front desk staff was outstanding. Very helpful, courteous, friendly.

No continental breakfast and restaurant did not open until 6:00. Also, bathroom was pretty small.
